GamerLegion eliminate MOUZ in joint-last place in Paris
MOUZ exit the Major without a single map victory to their name.
GamerLegion have defeated MOUZ in a quick two-map series to eliminate them from the BLAST.tv Paris Major (Mirage 16-12, Overpass 16-5).
MOUZ exit the Major after just three matches. Their campaign consisted of two defeats against Ninjas in Pyjamas and OG on Monday before a deciding loss against GamerLegion proved to be the final nail in the coffin.
GamerLegion, whose roster consists of two former members of the MOUZ organization in Frederik "acoR" Gyldstrand and Kamil "siuhy" Szkaradek, have kept themselves alive for another day of competition and require two more series wins to qualify for the Legends Stage.

In a comment to HLTV.org after the match, acoR admitted the loss had special significance to him and siuhy. "It means a lot to me and siuhy," the Danish AWPer said. "siuhy maybe not as much, but it kinda proves it a little bit for me like... I don't know if it proves it, but we had a lot of emotions and it showed, and we ended up winning the game."
The series started on Mirage, and MOUZ got off to a quick 4-0 start to begin the series. That was about as good as it got for the European combine, however, as a resurgence by the GamerLegion CT side meant they took the lead back at halftime. Another good start to a half meant they were soon up 11-7, and while MOUZ did string a couple of rounds together in the middle portion, it simply wasn't enough.
A couple of consecutive B attacks by GamerLegion exploited Jon "JDC" de Castro's bad individual performance, as the German had just eight kills on the map, and allowed them to take a 1-0 lead in the series after winning Mirage 16-12.
GamerLegion's map pick of Overpass was one-way traffic all the way through, as siuhy and company won the pistol round and kept a comfortable lead all throughout the half. A dominant 11-4 offense put them within touching distance of the victory with their CT side just as successful, as they eventually closed out the map 16-5 to stay alive at the Major. Their next test will come on Wednesday, with the European combine requiring two more consecutive victories to move on to the Legends Stage.
