Heroic cruise to win over Complexity

Another good start to an event from the Danish side.

HEROIC have lived up to the tag of the favorites and picked up an opening victory at the BLAST Premier Spring Final, taking down Complexity 2-0. Tomorrow, they will face the winner of Astralis - FaZe for a place in the semi-final of the tournament, which will be played in front of a live audience on Saturday.

The HEROIC - Complexity series kicked off with Inferno, where Casper "⁠cadiaN⁠" Møller posted a 1.88 rating to propel his team to a 16-7 victory. The team captain made up for an underwhelming elimination game at IEM Dallas last week, when he went missing in a crucial match against MOUZ after displaying strong form throughout the group stage.

The opening map saw Complexity take a 4-0 lead on the Terrorist side, but things were one-sided from that point onwards as the American team managed just three rounds as HEROIC picked up 16.

Sonic to continue standing-in for Complexity at BLAST Spring Final

Things moved on to Nuke next, where Aran "⁠Sonic⁠" Groesbeek almost clutched the CT pistol to put the right foot forward, but the stand-in returning to the team and juggling university obligations at the same time was less than a second short. It was all downhill from there, as HEROIC ran rampant on the offense, René "⁠TeSeS⁠" Madsen spearheading the team with five multikills in the 11-4 half. The game was brought to an end shortly as Complexity was unable to build any momentum on the offense, concluding 16-6.
