Fluxo complete roster overhaul with zevy, PKL, t9rnay additions

The team has also confirmed the promotion of former analyst Joaquin "lokomotioN" Abasolo into the head coach position.

Fluxo refill their ranks with two former paiN members and t9rnay

Fluxo has announced the additions of Romeu "zevy" Rocco, Vinicios "PKL" Coelho, and Henrique "t9rnay" Menacho, confirming reports by GameArena and Dust2.br that the organization was targeting the three players to refill their ranks.

The trio takes the place of Allan "history" Lawrenz, João "felps" Vasconcellos, and Adriano "WOOD7" Cerato, who all now reside on Fluxo's bench.

PKL and zevy arrive on Fluxo from paiN, with the former sitting on the bench since February, and the latter finding himself on the outs from the lineup after the team's trajectory took a downturn from the BLAST.tv Paris Major onward.

Despite his more recent struggles, however, zevy performed well for paiN over the course of his nearly year-long tenure, averaging a 1.14 rating overall and a 1.07 rating on LAN.

That level dipped off in 2023 as he mustered a 1.12 rating overall and a 1.02 rating offline, with the latter number, in particular, being a pain point for the team as they were eliminated early from the IEM Katowice Play-In, ESL Challenger Katowice, and the BLAST.tv Paris Major Challengers Stage.

Fluxo also failed to perform at the Major, faltering in the same stage but with an even worse record, going 0-3 (compared to paiN's 2-3). Both teams decided to make substantial changes to their rosters during the off-season, with Fluxo also swapping out in-game leader WOOD7 for PKL, who returns to action after five months on the sidelines.

The final piece of Fluxo's puzzle is t9rnay, who has been lighting up the board for RED Canids. The 21-year-old has averaged a 1.18 rating for the Brazilian team in 2023 and was a hot commodity during the off-season, being approached by or in discussions with Paquetá, paiN, Fluxo, and a new project headed up by Leonardo "leo_drk" Oliveira.

Lucas "Lucaozy" Neves and Vinicius "vsm" Moreira remain from Fluxo's previous roster to complete the lineup, while their former analyst lokomotioN has been promoted to coach, filling the spot left vacant by Wilton "zews" Prado's departure.

educate me on how bringing PKL and T9rnay is an improvement over wood7 and felps, if they were to improve they would've brought taco/steel to igl and harzao to support. this just feels like a coin toss.

I agree that Wood is a better IGL than PKL, the problem is that to fly higher, they needed a main awper. T9rney is an insane youngster who has one of the greatest potentials in Brazil, he deserves a chance on a bigger team. They also probably opted for him cuz the other players buyout was already too big.

Imo PKL is very underrated, he is atleast as good as an IGL but obviously not as good as a fragger as biguzera. Biguzera has already admitted that he learned a lot from PKL. Why do so many brazilians tend to underrate pkl? He has led many tier 3 brazilian lineup to tier 2 atleast. Whilst he may not be as godly as biguzera is in terms of fragging while IGLing, he is still a decent fragger (around 1.0 rating is pretty solid for a veteran rifler igl). I was aware of everyones potential in this lineup except from t9rnay. However I do trust you lot responding to my question, as I expect you guys have more knowledge of the brazilian scene than I do. So if you guys all say he is a good up an comer, I believe it. Tbh this lineup is probably my fav of the new brazilian ones. Furia will still most certainly be better in terms of ranking but this team is a very exciting darkhorse.

every team that WOOD7 leads stands out, at least nationally. BRAVOS, MIBR and Fluxo, it's a pattern. He might not be the best mechanically, but he is proven to be a good IGL. PKL is pretty much the same.

PKL doesn't have so much big accomplishments as well. as for WOOD7, he hasnt many international trophies, but in a big national scene he's one of the few that stands out, thats something. WOOD7's BRAVOS, MIBR and Fluxo would compete face to face with PKL's pain.

Honestly, feels like a sideways move from Fluxo. T9rnay can be great, buthe is widely untested against even T2. PKL is not a huge upgrade on WOOD7 and Pain best moments came under Biguzera leadership. I think zevy is an upgrade on history, but not by a wide margin.
