GamerLegion part ways with neaLaN

The Kazakh IGL departs the organization after just two months and three events played.

neaLaN has been sidelined ahead of GL's trip to Sydney

Sanzhar "⁠neaLaN⁠" Iskhakov is no longer a part of GamerLegion's starting lineup and has departed the organization, it has been announced.

The Kazakh rifler was brought into the team as a replacement for Kamil "⁠siuhy⁠" Szkaradek back in July, but now leaves the European side after just two months with the team.

GamerLegion made waves by reaching the BLAST.tv Paris Major grand final with siuhy at the helm, but struggled to replicate that form under neaLaN's leadership. The team attended just three events with the 23-year-old on their books: IEM Cologne, Gamers8, and ESL Pro League Season 18. A 5-8th place finish at the single-elimination Saudi LAN was their highlight.

More recently, GamerLegion crashed out of ESL Pro League in 17-20th place after missing out on a playoff spot, most notably falling to an ailing FURIA in the Group A fourth-place decider.

"We want to express our gratitude for all the hard work and dedication he brought to the team," GamerLegion said in a statement on their Twitter account. "Even though neaLaN was only a part of our GamerLegion family for a short time, he made a significant impact and led our team through some tough recent tournaments.

"We are always committed to providing our players with the best experience and environment possible, but sometimes, team dynamics just don't align. We appreciate neaLaN's contributions during his time with us and wish him the best in his future endeavors, both in and out of the gaming world.

"Change is a part of every journey, and we will navigate through this transition, we thank you, our amazing GamerLegion fans, for your ongoing support."

GamerLegion have just over two weeks to fill their roster vacancy before traveling to Australia for IEM Sydney, which will kick off on October 16.

?? Just because there are no star names on the roster it does not mean that they are shit. They are 4 solid hardworking guys that can compete against the very best as we have seen many times in the past. NGL, siuhy is probably the best IGL in the world so that ofc made it easier for GL to contest against the very best but you can't give all the cred to him. I don't think snax is the answer either, think they probably regret letting siuhy go. The orgs biggest misstake this far for sure.
