9z are reportedly recalling the youngster from his loan deal with Flamengo.

HUASOPEEK previously turned out for 9z academy

Matias "⁠HUASOPEEK⁠" Ibañez Hernandez will come in for David "⁠dav1deuS⁠" Tapia Maldonado in 9z's starting lineup, according to a report from Dust2.com.br.

The report indicates that 20-year-old rifler will replace his compatriot after spending two months on loan in Flamengo. HUASOPEEK began his career in 9z Academy and competed on LAN for Chile in the 2022 IESF World Championship.

dav1deuS steps down from 9z

Flamengo, meanwhile, have signed up for the ESL Challenger Jonköping open qualifier with Felipe "⁠delboNi⁠" Delboni in HUASOPEEK's stead.

The report arrived before the announcement of a new 9z Academy lineup featuring four Brazilians and sole Argentinian Maximiliano "⁠MaxOff⁠" Elefanté. The second string of the Violeta has not played an HLTV official since June, and the organization parted ways with its old Argentinian core on October 1.

David honestly isn’t that good of a player to begin with, extremely inconsistent and doesn’t have a lot of impact, tbh I feel like 9z have been going downhill for a while, I’m interested in seeing how this will affect them but imo what they need is a new igl

yeah youre right, david is inconsistent. But at least sometimes david put up some undoubtedly good performances which i cant see with huasopeek. But yeah, i agree they probably need a new igl

tbh I haven't seen anything from Huasopeek yet so I have no idea how he will do in terms of consistency, but hopefully this will be a step in the right direction for 9z :)

imo they played way better in 2022 where they even faced more european opponents and still showed great skill and awareness I am not saying they are terrible now, I just personally feel like they have done much better previously, I was a big supporter of 9z at both Antwerp and Rio but idk after Buda joined the team I just feel like they lost a lot of pace and flair, I was really hyped when Try joined but so far I don't really feel like they team has overall improved a lot since that

9z with the addition of Buda almost went through to the legends stage of Rio. In whole 2023 they only lost the qualification to blast Qualy and lost the qualification to Paris major. They dominated the SA scene and you could call them the best in SA as of now, that is after Buda. So I doubt that his addition affected negatively tbh. They do need to improve, but that comes with experience, they literally are each day making history in LATAM.

Both dav1d and huaso are known for their insanely crisp aim, they can pull off some plays and highlights other players wouldnt be able to But tbh idk how huaso will perform, glad they picked up a Chilean guy tho, he is by far the biggest promise that we have atm.
