Argentine football superstar Lionel Messi has been revealed as a partner in esports organization KRÜ in an announcement made the team's founder and owner, Sergio Agüero, via the organization's Twitter account.

KRÜ has not invested in Counter-Strike to date but plans to make its first foray into game in 2024, with Agüero outlining plans to have a main roster and an academy team featuring Argentine players.

The organization previously attempted to get involved in the scene by making an offer for the former Paquetá lineup, according to a report by Dust2.br in September. The deal ended up falling through as the team opted to sign for RED Canids instead.

Eastern russia and Ukraine are so far apart fron each other, its like two different worlds. Also CIS mightve been referred to one scene but Ukraine wasnt part of the CIS and CIS includes a lot of territory. The ocean propably seperates UK and US much less than the russian mainland eastern and western russians lol

This is fake, Kru tried to buy the roster from ex-ISURUS, now called BESTIA, but the negotiations fell off and BESTIA took the 7 members from Isurus. Previously, they only offered Rugo (actual coach of Boca Juniors) to make whatever roster he wanted, but that also fell off. Kru has never contacted Paquetá.

Why not? Almost all sport pros are gamers because it is fun for them to play the game where they are in, and when they see other pros investing like beckham, neymar jr and others they tag along doing the same because it's cheeper to own a E-sport organization than a real club. And I would guess that Messis son is playing CS like the rest of their sons do. It's a good way of spending their free time, like they cant rly go out and take a coffe because of all the fans would not leave them alone.
