The Israeli rifler joins former ENCE coach sAw in Heroic's new international project.

NertZ was bought out of his ENCE deal

Guy "⁠NertZ⁠" Iluz is the first player to join Eetu "⁠sAw⁠" Saha's new HEROIC squad after being bought out of his ENCE contract.

He was rumored to be joined by Álvaro "⁠SunPayus⁠" García and Pavle "⁠Maden⁠" Bošković at the Norwegian organization, but they have instead joined Marco "⁠Snappi⁠" Pfeiffer at Falcons.

"My time at ENCE has come to an end," NertZ posted on Twitter. "I’ll forever be thankful for the opportunity to become a Tier1 player ENCE gave me ... the last year was truly unforgettable. Looking forward to the next chapter of my career."

SunPayus, Maden, Magisk complete Falcons roster

HEROIC had secured Peter "⁠dupreeh⁠" Rasmussen and Rasmus "⁠Zyphon⁠" Nordfoss on short-term deals until the end of the year (and Jason "⁠salazar⁠" Salazar for BLAST World Final), but it is unclear if the Danes remain in the picture for 2024's new-look lineup.

NertZ is the marquee signing for that project, boasting a 1.14 LAN rating in his first year in tier-one competition. He was signed by ENCE in February to replace Valdemar "⁠valde⁠" Bjørn Vangså on paper, but spiritually replaced compatriot Lotan "⁠Spinx⁠" Giladi in terms of roles and impact.

The aggressive lurker's signing means that, should René "⁠TeSeS⁠" Madsen and Rasmus "⁠sjuush⁠" Beck remain in their old positions, HEROIC are on the lookout for an in-game leader and an AWPer. Damjan "⁠kyxsan⁠" Stoilkovski is a possible candidate for the captaincy, having been linked to the side by Aleksei "⁠OverDrive⁠" Birukov.

Nertz, Teses, sjuush are better than the riflers on Falcons already Problem is that Snappi and SunPayus are probably better than any available igl or awper. Maybe kyxsan good since he can frag a lot better than Snappi. Dunno how they’d make up for the awp difference tho Should be close teams

Liquid moves were exciting but other than that feels wrong. By wrong I mean soulless changes that just ruin good teams and make mediocre ones. Faze Vita Astra Liquid got it good and the rest of the shufflers got f*cked. Especially Ence, G2 and Heroic.

I know there cant be 10 top5 teams but on some sports leagues we have just 1-2 teams that win everything (like bundesliga) and we have leagues where 15 teams compete for the win. (like NHL). The ones with deep competition feel more interesting to watch. Id prefer CS to be a game where we have deep competition over 1-2dominant orgs. I cant point finger on whom to blame as there is no single fault but 6 months ago we had plenty of teams and now we have 2. If we are lucky we get 4 by the majors.

its still different because you get attached to your club by seeing matches on your stadium in your country, playing with other teams from the same country, and usually you still have many players from your country and i dont see why would anyone get attached to an org in esports

If national teams were any good they would still be a thing. This is actually good for cs because it allows anyone to have a chance in tier 1. A guy like sunpayus, or nertz, or spinx, or frozen, or ropz or Niko would never have a chance to play tier 1 if international teams weren't a thing. National teams are dead sadly appart from c9 and spirit. Astralis is ass and so is BIG.

Well, no. I'm totally fine with national rosters making the fairytale runs in majors, they are hype as hell. But tier1 CS should be international.
