BLEED now have a full starting five with the addition of an aggressive rifler.

BLEED will count on CYPHER's entry abilities

BLEED have announced the signing of Cai "⁠CYPHER⁠" Watson, putting an end to questions as to who would round out the international squad's starting five.

The new signing comes after the acquisitions of Hampus "⁠hampus⁠" Poser, Tsvetelin "⁠CeRq⁠" Dimitrov, and Josef "⁠faveN⁠" Baumann, as well as Laurențiu "⁠lauNX⁠" Țârlea on loan from Falcons with a first option to buy after the Shanghai Major.

BLEED had also been in talks with Peter "⁠dupreeh⁠" Rasmussen, Max "⁠maxster⁠" Jansson, and Justin "⁠jks⁠" Savage, but could not secure the services of any of the aforementioned players.

CYPHER, who broke out at the BLAST.tv Paris Major with Into the Breach as an entry/anchor player putting up a 1.11 rating in the team's quarter-final run, was signed by TSM during the summer offseason, but the international squad failed to reach the top rungs of competition in 2023.

BLEED's head coach, Aleksandar "⁠kassad⁠" Trifunović, also stated on X that the Singaporean organization tried to bid for a spot at BLAST Premier for the upcoming season, but was told that a full team roster was already in place for 2024.

Saying hampus was never tier 1 is a bit silly. Cypher and launx have more potential than current cerq. For years he’s been a .8 rating star awper, if he can get that form back I’ll be glad but I don’t see how cypher is the breaking point and cerq wasnt

It didn’t matter though. I’m not saying he can’t come back and eg seems like a horrible environment in every esport, but I just don’t think a change of scenery will be enough

At its best it can be on the same level as mezii's fnatic, at its worst its gonna be a better version of the major run ITB. Should be fun to watch at least. The results of the team will be very reliant on the Cerq question mark.

I think its more on if hampus and kassad can make some magic happen. cause a major flaw aside from the obvious is that this seems like a LANer team.

I trust hampus and kassad enough to wrangle the rifler core. On top of that, hampus, faven and launx have always been good online so I wouldn't worry too much about that. I really think this team will be heavily reliant on Cerq's performance. The one thing that NIP has been missing ever since the device bench-warm period is an AWPer, and yet it always felt like they still performed and got into play-offs despite that. If Cerq can regain form, it might just be enough to give them that extra push (both in the server and confidence-wise) needed in order to, perhaps, play spoiler in some events.

Team is surprisingly well built, roles are well balanced. Lets hope the team actually works together. If they do, they will surely be in the RMRs at minimum, and perhaps eben qualify for the major.

huge gambles on cypher and cerq, but if it hits then kassad will look like a genius. Especially since cerq could carry this team to a Major if he comes back from playing for EG. Only one who was able to was Ethan but in a whole different game lol. tbf the whole rifling core are legit talents, but they are all coming off of poor stints with their last teams. TSM were trash, faveN couldnt consistently play and was a bit meh at times, Launx suffered with that poor Falcons rosters.

Faven being consistent is the bigger gamble here

This is a top30 team. They are not meant to win majors or stuff like that. Some good placements in t2 tournaments and they should be happy. There are many levels to the game and personally t2 is also interesting to follow. Just because they are not top tier doesn't mean they should just go and die. With the new TSM roster from months ago, i was expecting for a top20 team, but there they are, struggling at 40-50. I think in paper, this a better version of that TSM. This can be a top-20-30 if kassad and hampus manage it well.
