Official: Brazilian reunion goes live with O PLANO

Veteran Brazilian names have come together ahead of the PGL Major Copenhagen qualifiers.

fer and fnx return to action after over a year on the sidelines

O PLANO have taken the wraps off their new Brazilian lineup that features storied names in the form of two-time Major-winning trio Epitacio "⁠TACO⁠" de Melo, Fernando "⁠fer⁠" Alvarenga, and Lincoln "⁠fnx⁠" Lau.

The roster is rounded out by Vito "⁠kNgV-⁠" Giuseppe and Ricardo "⁠boltz⁠" Prass, confirming reports from Dust2.com.br and Draft5 that pointed to the formation of the project.

This announcement marks a return to activity for every individual on the roster. While kNgV- and boltz each recorded their last officials as recently as October 2023 before departing the active lineups of O PLANO and Imperial, the remaining three players have found themselves far from the server for most, if not all, of 2023.

O PLANO's project is reminiscent of Gabriel "⁠FalleN⁠" Toledo's Last Dance, a lineup put together in January 2022 ahead of PGL Major Antwerp's open qualifiers. That squad was swiftly acquired by Imperial, under whose banner the Brazilians left a lasting impression by reaching Antwerp but narrowly falling short of the playoffs after a tough loss to Copenhagen Flames.

With their lineup unveiled, O PLANO now have their sights firmly set on qualifying for the upcoming PGL Major. An interview from GameArena with O PLANO CEO, Karine Dutra, highlighted that the longevity of this lineup hinged on their upcoming Major qualifier performances, with Dutra stating that "the team is not yet thinking about the long term."

O PLANO will see their debut in a matter of days, with the first South American open qualifiers for the PGL Major Copenhagen Americas RMR kicking off on January 8th.
