Sangal part ways with stikle-

stikle-'s tenure as Sangal's coach lasted just over a year.

The former BNE coach is without a team to represent

European side Sangal have announced the departure of coach Klesti "⁠stikle-⁠" Kola. The move comes amidst a string of mixed results from the squad since their roster overhaul towards the end of 2023.

stikle- originally joined forces with Sangal at the beginning of 2023 following the departure of Tugay "⁠TuGuX⁠" Keskin, who left to coach BIG Academy. The team struggled to find impact throughout stikle-'s tenure, failing to make deep runs in the various online events they participated in throughout 2023.

The squad opted for lineup changes throughout various points of the year, eventually settling on Linus "⁠LNZ⁠" Holtäng, Simon "⁠yxngstxr⁠" Boije, and Pere "⁠sausol⁠" Solsona Saumell, but this revamped roster still failed to net results. With the 2024 season looming, Sangal were forced to make further changes in late November 2023 following the departures of Max "⁠PANIX⁠" Hangebruch and Can "⁠kyuubii⁠" Ali, bringing on Yasin "⁠xfl0ud⁠" Koç and Ilya "⁠Ganginho⁠" Chernychenko in their stead.

stikle- and co. kicked off 2024 hoping to add to the Albanian coach's tally of Major attendances, having garnered two appearances during his time with Bad News Eagles. Unfortunately, the new-look Sangal failed to make a splash in the new year, notably bowing out early in all four PGL Major Copenhagen Europe open qualifiers.

Despite the setback, Sangal are continuing to grind out online events, with the European side currently competing in YaLLa Compass Spring 2024 Contenders and A1 Gaming League Season 8, with their participation in ESL Challenger League Season 47 slated to begin later this month.
