Two legends of the game will clash on day three of PGL Major Copenhagen Opening Stage.

paiN are slated for a lusophone matchup versus SAW for a place in the next stage

Day two of the Opening Stage of PGL Major Copenhagen has drawn to a close, seeing two sides, HEROIC and Cloud9, earn a place in the Elimination Stage, while AMKAL and KOI bowed out without notching a single victory.

With the end of the first three rounds of play also comes the end of the use of BO1s, with the remainder of the matches in the Opening Stage slated to be BO3s. Six of these BO3s are scheduled for day three, with three sides set to advance while three more will depart.

The matches in the 2-1 pool feature a mix of names that many expected to make it far in the Opening Stage, such as SAW and Eternal Fire, facing off against squads that may not have had much hype surrounding them, such as paiN and last-minute stand-ins GamerLegion.

The 1-2 pool has also provided some interesting matchups, with The MongolZ and Lynn Vision set for an Asia RMR upper-bracket final rematch for a shot at keeping their Major run alive, while one of Gabriel "⁠FalleN⁠" Toledo or Lukas "⁠gla1ve⁠" Rossander will be sent packing from Copenhagen early as FURIA and ENCE prepare to face off.

Furia honestly are gonna lose this match. It'll be a 2-1 victory for ENCE but I have a gut feeling FURIA is gonna throw some silly rounds and ENCE will take advantage of them

ENCE need to put that fire they had at Katowice back on. They're playing with less pro activity and their aim isnt as sharp. I know being here is probably already mission accomplished for the org but come on you gotta show some more HUNGER! I think Ence will win. They're the better team.

ENCE had easy draw compared to other teams and still they fumbled! I am taking L in fantasy, thanks to ENCE. Fluke at Kato had made me think highly of them but I guess now they are naked.
