Bigetron expand into CS with team headlined by BnTeT

The former TYLOO star returns to action after a three-month break with a new team that includes two North American players.

Indonesian esports organization Bigetron has announced its expansion into Counter-Strike with a team headlined by former TYLOO and EXTREMUM star Hansel "⁠BnTeT⁠" Ferdinand.

The 28-year-old had been without a team since January, when he left NKT after just 12 months with the Thai organization. A first-place finish in MESA League Season 3 was one of the few bright spots in a disappointing year for NKT that culminated with the team withdrawing from the ESL Challenger League just four weeks into Season 46.

BnTeT will be joined in this new challenge by Andre "⁠WasteOfAmmo⁠" Yosua Poluakan and Patrick "⁠Derek⁠" Lacson, who recently attended the Asia RMR in Shanghai with MAG. The team finished 7th-8th after losing to The MongolZ and ATOX.

Rounding out the roster are two North American players, Matthew "⁠nero⁠" Seymour and Christopher "⁠aleph⁠" Froden. They were both part of the Rocket roster that was involved in controversy before the Americas RMR.

Rocket were disqualified from ESL Challenger League and the ESL Challenger Melbourne closed qualifier after Damian "⁠EMIYA⁠" Boulware was banned for two years on FACEIT for cheating. Moreover, it was revealed that the team's coach, former Akuma member Alexandr "⁠Psycho⁠" Zlobin, had communicated with the team during their Americas RMR closed qualifier matches, something that was against the tournament rules. Rocket ended up being replaced by NRG at the RMR.

In a post on X, nero noted that he is "eager to put recent events behind" to further his career, and is "extremely excited and grateful for the opportunity."
