Experienced IGL arT has found a new team mere weeks after being benched by FURIA.

arT finds himself on a new team for the first time in over six years

Fluxo has announced the signings of Andrei "⁠arT⁠" Piovezan and Nicollas "⁠nicks⁠" Polonio, with the pair set to replace Vinicios "⁠PKL⁠" Coelho and Vinicius "⁠vsm⁠" Moreira on the starting roster.

The announcement confirms a recent report by Dust2 Brasil stating that arT had already been practicing with Fluxo using an alternative account whilst negotiations with FURIA were ongoing.

arT was recently placed on FURIA's bench following the team's early exit from IEM Chengdu, which was the latest in a string of disappointing results that included elimination from IEM Katowice Play-in and a 0-3 run in the Elimination Stage of PGL Major Copenhagen.

FURIA co-owner Akkari: "The moment requires changes, and they will be done"

Shortly after FURIA's run in China ended, the organization's co-owner and co-CEO André Akkari came out publicly stating that changes were needed within the team, and one of those eventual changes was to remove arT from the starting roster.

Immediately after his move to the bench, arT released a statement on X saying he felt "free" and "excited thinking about my future."

arT: "At this moment, strangely enough, I find myself happy"

The 28-year-old joins a Fluxo side that have struggled for results in 2024, the team falling some way short of the best sides in Brazil.

Their only notable success regionally came in the form of a first-place finish in RES Regional Series 1, whilst outside of that they failed to qualify for the Americas RMR for PGL Major Copenhagen and also failed qualifiers for IEM Dallas, ESL Challenger Jönköping, BetBoom Dacha Belgrade and Esports World Cup.

The team are, however, currently top of ESL Challenger League Season 45 South America, ahead of the likes of Imperial, paiN and MIBR, but the new roster has a have a trial by fire awaiting as they will debut momentarily against paiN.

nicks, the player also joining Fluxo alongside arT, only has a 15-month stint on MIBR Academy on his resume. He averaged a 1.03 rating during his tenure overall, sitting in the middle of the pack for rating compared to his teammates, but stepped up to a 1.12 rating over 2024 thus far. He recently helped the team grab second-place at RedZone PRO League.
