SINNERS bench NEOFRAG "due to factors not rooted in performance rather than team vision"

SINNERS has moved NEOFRAG to the inactive roster and promoted 21-year-old SINNERS Academy prospect Michal "⁠majky⁠" Švancara on a trial basis, it has been announced.

The move ends NEOFRAG's short-lived second stint playing for the Czech organization, which lasted just five months.

He averaged a 1.10 rating in that span, the second-highest after Tomáš "⁠oskar⁠" Šťastný, but the team went out last place in the PGL Major Copenhagen Europe RMR closed qualifier and has struggled to make deep runs in online circuit tournaments.

"NEO is an excellent player and a great person however, as was evident from our recent results, changes needed to happen due to factors that are not necessarily rooted in statistical performance rather than... The team's vision you could say," SINNERS' CEO, Moritz "Askadar" Straube, told HLTV in a statement.

"It’s sad that things went this way and we didn’t click together. We had different vision on how we should play and I think it’s best for everyone to split up," NEOFRAG added. "I wish my former teammates and the club nothing but best of luck. I’ll look for new challenges and I definitely haven’t said a final word yet.”

NEOFRAG previously played under SINNERS' banner for a little over two years, from 2020-2022, before going international with OG.

He was transfer-listed from that lineup alongside Abdul "⁠degster⁠" Gasanov shortly after the BLAST.tv Paris Major and later joined Into the Breach, but was unceremoniously removed after just one month due to "unequivocal breaches of ITB's morals and company standards."

He then spent three months playing for ECLOT before returning to SINNERS in December 2023, and now moves to the inactive roster.

majky has been promoted on a trial basis from SINNERS Academy to take NEOFRAG's place, with the academy player's last HLTV-recorded official dating back to November. He will debut for SINNERS on Tuesday in CCT EU Series 3.
