Nivera makes CS return in Revenant alongside NBK-

The Belgian 22-year-old makes his Counter-Strike return after switching to Valorant in 2022.

NBK- brings a wealth of experience to the team

Indian organization Revenant has announced a move away from a local team and presented its new European Counter-Strike lineup featuring French veteran Nathan "⁠NBK-⁠" Schmitt.

The two-time Major winner is joined by former Falcons teammate Laurențiu "⁠lauNX⁠" Țârlea, who has seen his stock drop after poor showings in the Saudi organization and BLEED, and will be keen to show he is back on the path to fulfilling the potential he showed with Sprout.

Also on the roster are Kamil "⁠reiko⁠" Cegiełko, AWPer Adelin "⁠adeX⁠" Nica, and former Vitality substitute Nabil "⁠Nivera⁠" Benrlitom, who is returning to Counter-Strike after switching to Valorant in 2021.

The younger Benrlitom brother had started to make waves as Vitality's sixth player during the online era, contributing to the team's victories at BLAST Premier Fall 2020 and IEM Beijing-Haidian 2020 Europe before switching to Riot's shooter. He represented Liquid and Karmine Corp alongside Adil "⁠ScreaM⁠" Benrlitom.

"I’m confident in myself. I think I was doing well with Vitality and my previous teams, even Heretics," Nivera told HLTV when he announced his return to CS.

"I’m confident about my level, and I know for sure I’m going to be very good at the game. It’s hard to explain, but I have this feeling that this game is great for me."

The team will be coached by Patrik "⁠pakesZ⁠" Rozsos, who briefly worked with Project G in 2023, while Chris "⁠Jeebs⁠" DeSantis will be his right-hand man doing analysis.

Bro NBK is so washed even I beat him in premier on Mirage few months ago in ~22k game. Won 2 out of 3 1v1s against him one of which on MP9 while he was on AK medium range lol. I played whole game as he was some random player with Falcons profile picture and just in the last round I picked up his famous Souvenir M4A1-S Knight from his dead body which Sparkles unboxed and gave away to him and I was like “ha I didn’t know NBK sold it”, so I checked dude’s profile and noticed Cluj Napoca 2015 winning trophy as display item and other Major trophies in his inventory lol. I wrote hi and wanted him to ask about Knight and few friendly questions in ALL team chat, but he was probably so malding from losing to randoms in Premier he didn’t even respond once.

#181 I wasn’t annoying fanboy saying “OMG OMG NBK” neither did I ask for something like “pls sign my profile” or my favourite “can you give me knife?” I just said hi and asked him about that famous Souvenier Knight from Sparkles since I used to be heavily interested in skins and trading and he chose to ignore and not write a single word which he has all the right to do so, but it’s still douche behavior. But I get it two times major champion who is sitting on bench and trying to get back into the scene getting rekt by randoms in Premier is…… kinda tilting, maybe he would respond at the start of the game rather than at 12-7 score line and especially when the guy asking is the same guy you lost two clutches to few rounds prior.

I mean I am just casual CS player who always played for fun and never went tryhard, so I would argue that beating two times major champion (even tho he is washed) and especially winning two crucial clutches against him is somewhat highlight of my CS gaming path which is +10 years. Despite all the other opinions, I see good potential here. Reiko is a monster. He used to carry all his teams (of course, T2-3 teams, but mentally he should be ready for anyone). I will follow this team very carefully. It reminds me a bit of Gamer Legion. All the best to NBK!
