Nearly three weeks after ztr's benching, Metizport have announced their fifth.

Sapec finds a new home after two years with EYEBALLERS

Metizport have announced the signing of Anton "⁠Sapec⁠" Palmgren, completing the team's lineup after the surprise benching of IGL Erik "⁠ztr⁠" Gustafsson almost three weeks ago.

As Sapec is not an in-game leader, Metizport Sports Director Morten "⁠zEVES⁠" Vollan Christensen clarified in a virtual press conference that AWPer Jack "⁠Jackinho⁠" Ström Mattsson would be taking up the mantle of calling with ztr now on the bench.

The addition of Sapec to the squad is the second change for the young Swedish side in recent times, with former Ninjas in Pyjamas player Nicolas "⁠Plopski⁠" Gonzalez Zamora taking over Tim "⁠susp⁠" Ångström's place in Metizport in early May.

Prior to joining forces with Metizport, Sapec had been plying his trade with Jesper "⁠JW⁠" Wecksell's EYEBALLERS lineup for two years before being let go just days ago.

They are doing this because of chemistry. They want to build a team that put the team first and everyone feels equal. This isn't about putting 5 individuals that shoot hard together. Teamspirit and the same goal to thrive is what they are going for. I really hope they can prove all the lackers wrong. Time will tell..

I guess it could be a way to sort of force him to accept the offer from this other team. He may not have wanted to leave but being on the bench doesn't leave him with much choice. Or it could just be that it's confidental and they don't want to reveal too much. It feels to me like Metizport is trying to liquidate their valuable assets and possibly get out of CS soon. At least if they don't make a lot of progress.
