Aleksi "Aleksib" Virolainen's troops have endured hefty criticism since their Major-winning campaign in Denmark, struggling to make deep runs at ESL Pro League Season 19 or IEM Dallas that would have suggested their form in Copenhagen could be replicable.
Natus Vincere's showing in London has represented a dramatic turnaround in the team's recent form. "The last two tournaments were really bad by us," commented Aleksib after their win over Virtus.pro. "Everybody in the camp is feeling super proud of the hard work we're still pulling off."
On the other side of the aisle, Virtus.pro conclude a 2024 season that provided little to be thankful for. After a lackluster run of form to kick off the year, the team has since been working to integrate new addition Denis "electroNic" Sharipov, further complicated by the removal of long-time coach Dastan "dastan" Akbayev.

Natus Vincere hit the ground running at a blistering speed on Virtus.pro's pick of Anubis to kick off the semi-final series. Aleksib's T-side calling was supported by impressive individual showings from all members of NAVI, allowing the team to secure a suffocating 11-1 scoreline at halftime.
While Virtus.pro managed to piece together some rounds of their own on the offense, they had little room to work with before Natus Vincere wrapped up the Russian side's pick 13-5.
Natus Vincere's selection of Mirage proved to be far less one-sided than Anubis had been, as neither side was able to pull ahead in the first half, culminating in a tied game at the side swap.
Once on the defense, Natus Vincere wrested control of the game, allowing just three solitary rounds to slip away to lock down the map 13-9, and the series 2-0, putting an end to the first half of Virtus.pro's 2024 season.
