OG have once again turned to MOUZ NXT for reinforcements.

Chr1zN takes up the leadership role in OG at the tender age of 17

OG has announced the signing of Christoffer "⁠Chr1zN⁠" Storgaard from MOUZ NXT, filling the roster spot that was left open by the departure of Nikita "⁠HeavyGod⁠" Martynenko to Cloud9 in July.

Thomas "⁠Thomas⁠" Utting served as a stand-in for OG during their most-recent tournament appearance at BLAST Premier Fall Groups, but the Brit stated in interviews during the event that he never had any intention of joining OG permanently.

Chr1zN will take up the IGL mantle for OG, as Nils "⁠k1to⁠" Gruhne surrendered the duty to take up the roles vacated by HeavyGod.

Seventeen-year-old Chr1zN had been a part of MOUZ NXT since September 2022, averaging a 1.05 rating whilst leading the academy project. He oversaw several online event wins during his tenure, the most impressive coming in CCT North Europe Series 5, when Jimi "⁠Jimpphat⁠" Salo was still part of MOUZ NXT.

This is not the first time OG have turned to MOUZ NXT for talent. OG signed Bram "⁠Nexius⁠" Campana from MOUZ's academy division late last year after the departures of Nemanja "⁠nexa⁠" Isaković and Dion "⁠FASHR⁠" Derksen.

Chr1zN briefly featured in a couple of tier-one online events mid-way through 2023, as he stood in for HEROIC after the drama involving Casper "⁠cadiaN⁠" Møller, Jakob "⁠jabbi⁠" Nygaard and Martin "⁠stavn⁠" Lund. The young Dane impressed during a run to top eight in Thunderpick World Championship, averaging a 1.12 rating.

In OG, Chr1zN joins a struggling squad. The international roster is currently in the midst of a nine-series losing streak, has been on an irreparable slide down the rankings since early 2023, and failed to qualify for CS2 Major Copenhagen earlier this year.

They entered cs with so much hype and motivation. When they unveiled aleksib as their IGL and first player I tought they were aiming big. And even up to recently they were signing decent players and aiming for young talents like flamez and even neofrag. Even tho he ended up a flop, he was his countris biggest talent.

If they plan to change more it's W, if they keep the rest of the roster nothing will change for OG in terms of results, while chr1zn will waste himself trying to IGL useless players.

I don't understand why everyone seem surprised... OG from an almost T1 team back in 2020 and 2021, they have gone from bad to worse with all the roster changes. I really don't understand why they are keep experimenting when they've failed so many times. If you want a long term project, just sell F1KU and everyone else, and try to build a team from the scratch a decent team. Disband inc!

Mouz nxt dynamic was good. I fear loosing the igl will be a hard step for them. Or Tobiz will somehow grab the next next T1 IGL prospect again from an obscure local team?

It will be hard for them for a while, since they bring in players that have usually never igled before. it was the same when chr1zn joined. Mouz nxt looked to clueless, but now after 2 years they were looking like one of the best tier 2 teams under him.... Still no clue who they get though... maybe one of the young guys from "the prodigies" might have some good IGL capabilities.

Not the move OG. Normally they manage to have at least one good player, but this? K1to is taking the vacated star roles and he can't play them well consistently if the past is anything to go by. F1ku isn't going to be a star and neither is nexius Modo is just kinda mid and Chrizn is going to have to IGL these guys while playing tier 1 for the first time. It's not looking good.

This was 100% a move, they got young talented IGL, like GL did with siuhy. Sure they still need to change 3 other players to have chance to qualify for events but this was 100% best move they have done for loooooong time.

Sure the roster is shit but at least this will help, unlike +Kito +Fiku. Siuhy can make Torzsi and Brollan look like tier 1 players so maybe chr1zn can make OG's boys look like tier 2 players.

siuhy led MOUZ NXT to actually surpass the main team in ranking. Obviously it wasn't all him and naturally it'll be harder to do so when the main team is the 3rd best team in the world but I'd say that's a near guarantee for his success while Chrizn is kinda just another gamble signing like if you got Mankz or birdfromsky.

great pickup. i feel like making the star out of k1to can work greatly if he can find consistency again. he was so good in sprout and the beginning of BIG.. really hope he can bounce back. other then that i dont feel the nexius pick... in my opinion both k1to and nexius have to show something this season, otherwise OG should look around to replace both.
