Perfect World Shanghai Major Europe RMR Closed Qualifier groups revealed

ENCE and BIG are the top seeds in their respective 16-team Swiss groups.

Perfect World has announced the Shanghai Major EU RMR Closed Qualifier groups. This stage will feature two 16-team Swiss groups, with the top eight advancing to the RMRs and the bottom eight going home.

The top seed in Group A is ENCE, where teams like BLEED, B8, GamerLegion, Monte, and KOI are also present.

BIG, SAW, and Cloud9 are the biggest names in Group B, which also features the likes of Sashi, OG, and Johnny Speeds.

The qualifiers will be best-of-one, with the exception of elimination and progression matches, which will be best-of-three.

Both groups of the European RMR's closed qualifier will take place at the same time, on August 21-24, nearly two months before the European RMRs themselves get underway on November 17.

The top 16 will then be seeded into the RMR's A and B groups alongside the teams who already qualified directly.

this is the qual to the qual if you'd try to do it without bo1 it would take too long as every round has probably the one marathon series that goes 3 maps 20+ rounds each maybe a few OTs and the schedule is fucked.
