FaZe and Virtus.pro lead the pack as 16 teams fight for one of two BLAST Fall Final berths.

FaZe will be under plenty of pressure as the highest-ranked team participating

16 teams are set to clash in the online BLAST Premier Fall Showdown event, set to run August 21-25, with all eyes set on grabbing one of the two BLAST Premier Fall Final berths on offer.

FaZe and Virtus.pro are the biggest names lined up to compete, but plenty of well-known rosters like Complexity, Falcons and HEROIC will be nipping at their heels hoping to overcome the odds to book a spot in Copenhagen.

BLAST ban Snap Tap for Showdown onwards

Cloud9 will be making only their second foray against tier-one teams since rebuilding their lineup in the off-season, OG will be facing their stiffest test since adding Christoffer "⁠Chr1zN⁠" Storgaard and Christian "⁠Buzz⁠" Andersen to the roster, and we will also get to see how pro players adapt to Valve's banning of Snap Tap and jump-throw binds.

Participating teams and format

The format for BLAST Fall Showdown is straightforward. The 16 teams participating will be split across two single-elimination, BO3 brackets. The winners of each bracket earn a spot in Fall Final.
