Sources: PARIVISION's RMR disqualification overturned after appeal**
F_1N appealed his ban with ESIC months ago, but the esports watchdog failed to share its decision with Valve at the time, sources tell HLTV.
Update 03:15 : In a statement to HLTV, ESIC denied that they directly reduced F_1N's ban, but that an "Independent Appeal Panel (independent of ESIC) has recently both accepted and made a decision with respect to a significantly out of time appeal by F_1N and communicated the same to Valve." The decision is expected to be published on ESIC's website within 24 hours.
ESIC added: "It seems that Perfect World was not aware of F_1N’s appeal to ESIC’s independent appeal panel when making their decision to disqualify the team “PARIVISION”. Perfect World has recently reached out to ESIC to confirm the details of the appeal and the decision made."
HLTV's sources however say F_1N's demerit points were updated after his appeal months prior and that the decision was not communicated to Valve nor Perfect World until recent events.
Update 22:04 : Monte's assistant coach, Piotr "nawrot" Nawrocki, has confirmed on X that a tournament admin informed teams that there will be no last-chance qualifier.
PARIVISION will be allowed to compete at the Perfect World Shanghai Major Europe RMR after successfully arguing its case with organizers, multiple sources with knowledge of the situation tell HLTV.
The Russian team was disqualified from the competition due to having a Valve-banned individual, coach Ivan "F_1N" Kochugov, present during their closed qualifier campaign. The 40-year-old and accompanying staff surrounded the team in a now-deleted celebratory video after PARIVISION beat GamerLegion in their 2-1 qualifying match.

F_1N was among over 30 coaches banned by the Esports Integrity Commission (ESIC) in 2020 for using the infamous coaching bug. He was found to have used it in six official matches for 34 rounds, resulting in a nine-month ban from ESIC member events and a permanent ban from Valve Majors based on his total demerit points.
However, sources tell HLTV that the Russian coach successfully appealed his ban with ESIC's independent appeal panel and had his demerit points reduced earlier this year, and that the esports watchdog did not announce or share its decision with external parties until after PARIVISION's disqualification took place.
With a reduction in demerit points, F_1N would fall below the six-point cut-off for a permanent suspension by Valve and be allowed to return to Majors, which now appears to be the reality after Valve were reportedly made aware of ESIC's decision.
As a result, the two last-chance qualifier matches that were scheduled to determine a replacement for PARIVISION are expected to be canceled, leaving KOI, Monte, and BLEED out of Major contention once again.
