Jason Lake on EliGE's future: "We're not a prison"

Jonathan "⁠EliGE⁠" Jablonowski's future has been thrown further in doubt after Complexity CEO confirmed they would not stand in his way if a top team came calling in a podcast with The Four Horsemen.

"We had a meeting, right here in my office," Jason Lake began. "I want what's best for him. He's at the stage in his career where he's really peaking, his biological clock is ticking.

"We're certainly not a prison here. If Jon can find an organization that, right now, can battle for top three consistently we'll try our best to make it happen for him and take whatever buyout we can get for him."

The American star, a five-time top 20 player, has averaged a 1.19 rating in CS2 at Complexity despite the team's struggles to crack playoffs consistently.

In 2024, Complexity have made the top half of a Big Event just twice in their runs at the two ESL Pro Leagues.

When asked about his own future by HLTV at the Major, EliGE said that he "wants to win next year." He continued, "that's the only thing that I want, I've been feeling like I want to win. I'm ready to win for 2025, and I'm going to do whatever it takes to make sure I'm in that position to win."

EliGE also announced a new agency for himself on December 16, fanning the flames of talk around his future.

But with a strict requirement that suitors are able to "battle for top three consistently" — the likes of G2, Vitality, and FaZe — dominoes must fall in Europe's top teams before any superclub is free to pursue his signature.

As for Complexity, Jason Lake re-confirmed the squad's commitment to his home region by saying they would "probably reload with up-and-coming North American talent" should EliGE depart.
