BLAST Bounty schedule and final invites revealed

The first tier-one event of the year will see 32 teams take to the server.

NiKo's Falcons have been given a $30,000 bounty

BLAST have finalized the invites for Bounty 2025 Season 1, a 32-team event set to start on January 14. The tournament will be the first top-tier event to use Train in the map pool.

Train to make tier 1 debut in BLAST Bounty

The tournament organizer first announced a couple of changes to the attendee list. The MongolZ have pulled out of the event, meaning Metizport, fnatic, and BetBoom will play with their newly assembled rosters.

The system of determining opening matchups has also been announced. The teams with lower opening seeds (17-32) will get to select their opponents to earn bounties, with each higher-ranked squad having a designated match time.

Due to being the highest seed in that bracket, BIG will be the first team to select their opponent, with the first draw set to be announced on BLAST's social media on January 11 from 11:00 onwards.

The draw for the RO16 will take place on January 17, while the playoff draw will take place in a BLAST.tv live show on January 22.

BLAST have also announced participation fees, based on the December 2 Valve rankings. Teams ranked 1-8th will receive $40,000, teams ranked 9-16th will get $26,250, while rosters ranked 17-32nd will be awarded $7,500.

I'm not sure but i think that the highest seed from the lowest-seeding teams pick first From article in blast website The teams in the lower half of that bracket (seeds 17-32) are the teams that get to go hunting and select who they play in order to earn bounties. Due to being the highest seed in that bracket, BIG will be the first team to select their opponent.

Ahh how weird, it looks u are right. I thought I've listened to talking counter podcast and how they were talking that imperial fe was one of the first to choose because they were worst placed. Maybe I understanded it bad or they thought wrong too.

I see, understendable. but it is wierd that mongolz don't have any sub, while some other teams have even 2 subs. with this situation now, i'm afraid, they won't play any of the tournaments in the future months and just loose their rating

Could be wrong but I don't think the Mongolian scene is that big, any top Mongolian players are already signed to other rosters. Pretty hard to find a player who can speak Mongolian to step in at this level I assume.

So the Javelins declined the Invite? They were ahead of Betboom, fnatic, and Merizport in terms of VRS on december 2nd, which is what blast used for this tournament.

You cant have 2 teams from the same org in a tournament because of conflict of interest.

Kick of the maybe most interesting year of cs with a new type of blast event which is very interesting, a new tournament system w.o partner events, lots of amazing t1&2 roster changes, a new version of cs which is getting better and better, finally vertigone, a train rework already in mappool & cache rework loading, still much to improve from valve but I trust. 2025 gonna be an amazing year full of cs and Im here for it! it's not even about memories did you enjoy the game after the last update? flying ragdolls, inspecting weapon delay and basically gameplay feels like constant 200ping this game is getting worse and worse with each update, not better, that's my point and I would be careful with your statement about everyone else having fun, just read some other opinions, don't just rely on yours:)

2 non issues and one issue that im not personally having is obviously not gonna make me think the progress of the game is actually the opposite. I dont see how you can actually believe the game is in a worse state than it was in last year or even 2 months ago which would obviously mean the game is getting better with each update. I have enjoyed CS2 a lot and while I think the movement is dogshit compared to CSGO and that is a massive shame I still think the changes are a net positive and even if I didnt think so now I would certainly think so in the future instead of being doomed to play on a dying engine. You tell me to read other opinions instead of just mine which is really ironic because the game is continuing to get better numbers which is really strange considering the game is worse. Peak 1 year ago this month was 1.1 mil now its 1.7 but I suppose those must just be 600.000 bots :D I dont even care if you think CSGO is better than CS2, I think there are good reasons to believe so even if I dont subscribe to that, but saying CS2 is actively regressing when its very clearly and obviously doing the opposite is just moronic

I agree with both of you. I dont want to write an essay about the state of cs2 cuz we all know. all I can say is: csgo was nearly perfect in terms of movement, mechanics, bullet registration 64/128 tick etc. etc., but it was definitely outdated. I think cs2 was the right step, the game has improved alot since the release and I am sure that cs2 will be better than csgo in the near future, I am pretty optimistic... what I really hate about it that it is getting noob friendlier with like every second update, but ok, enough said :d

They cant warmup without senzu. Dont need to participate the tournament if u know u would lose. Most of them are teenagers except 910 and blitz. So they need loooong rest with their family.
