NAVI named Team of the Year

NAVI's eight grand final appearances netted them the Team of the year award.

Natus Vincere have been crowned Team of the year for 2024, ahead of G2 and Spirit.

The team led by Aleksi "⁠Aleksib⁠" Virolainen won four titles across 2024 and placed second in three more, showing impressive consistency throughout the year. Their titles came at ESL Pro League S20, IEM Rio, Esports World Cup, and most notably at the PGL Major Copenhagen.

Natus Vincere entered the year with an unremarkable 7-8th placing at IEM Katowice but followed that up with a surprise win at PGL Major Copenhagen, where they beat FaZe in the final. Their form dropped somewhat after that, but they came out of the summer break all guns blazing.

Aleksib's men began the fall season with a title at the Esports World Cup and followed that up with a grand final appearance at IEM Cologne. A title at ESL Pro League S20 was next before another grand final appearance at BLAST Fall Final failed to bring the squad another trophy.

They would remedy that at IEM Rio, where they ended up victorious after a grand final win over MOUZ, which proved enough for them to take the Team of the year award after they spent 18 weeks at the top of the World rankings.

The race for second was super close, but it was G2 who took home the silver medal after their three titles at IEM Dallas, BLAST Fall Final, and BLAST World Final. The European combine also missed out on the playoffs just twice all season.

Spirit came third after a 2024 that included titles at IEM Katowice, BLAST Premier Spring Final, Betboom Dacha S2, and most importantly, Perfect World Shanghai Major.
