BLAST announce Lisbon groups, seeding, and opening matches

A replay of the PGL Cluj-Napoca final will take place in the opening round.

MOUZ start their run against Falcons

BLAST has announced the details surrounding the opening matches and groups for BLAST Open Lisbon, which will start on March 19 at the BLAST Studios in Copenhagen, Denmark before the action moves to the MEO Arena in the Portuguese capital for the playoffs.

The 16 teams, 12 invites and four from qualifiers (Astralis, ATOX, M80, and Imperial), have been seeded according to the official Valve ranking:

The 16 teams have been split into two eight-team double-elimination groups, which will yield the top six teams that will travel to Lisbon for the playoffs. The groups are the following:

Why is the tournament bracket different in HLTV than Blast.tv (blast.tv/cs/tournaments/open-2025-season..)? In Blast webiste there is a Grand Final for each group, but in HLTV, there are only upper and lower finals.

Wow the seeding played quite the trick here, 7 EU teams in one group and only 3 in the other. I hope these AM and AS teams can duel it out, it's so rare to see an AM vs AS matchup. Unfortunate that Mongolz have to play ATOX in game 1.
