FlyQuest add nettik as INS takes over captaincy

The 21-year-old talent didn't have to wait long for an opportunity to join Oceania's best team following his short-lived stint with TALON.

Former TALON player Corey "nettik" Browne has completed FlyQuest's roster, the organization announced on Saturday.

The 21-year-old replaces Christopher "dexter" Nong on the roster, while Joshua "INS" Potter takes over captaincy following the former in-game leader's removal.

"I'm excited to step up as in-game leader," INS said about the move in a statement. "I've always had the capabilities, and I can't wait to build a system with erkaSt and bring out the best in everyone."

"Adding nettik brings in some serious firepower. He's one of the best riflers in Oceania."

nettik has long been considered one of the biggest talents in Oceania. The New Zealander was putting on impressive performances on the regional scene with Rooster ever since he was 16 years old and continued to do so in his short-lived stint with TALON.

That officially ended earlier this March, after the Hongkongese organization dropped the roster just seven months into the project following "careful consideration of the organization's ability to put the players in the best position to participate in all available competitions needed in particular for VRS."

Before he completes the move to FlyQuest, nettik will play out one last event with ex-TALON, the DFRAG Invitational, taking place in Brisbane, Australia from March 20-23.

His first test with FlyQuest will be on the team's home turf, at IEM Melbourne, which kicks off on April 21.

FlyQuest's new roster is:

Australia Joshua "INS" Potter
Australia Jay "Liazz" Tregillgas
Australia Declan "Vexite" Portelli
Romania Iulian "regali" Harjău
New Zealand Corey "nettik" Browne

Mongolia Erdenetsogt "erkaSt" Gantulga (coach)

INS as IGL brought the team great successes in the past, to be honest. The only issue is that INS as IGL hinders just how good his individual level is.

INS used to be an IGL, individually he's been in a slump for a while now and he's not getting any younger. If nettik can hang with EU players it could be a good move.

Interesting to see who will take dexters roles, from what i remember nettik is fairly passive which is a big difference from the +w dexter style.

What even are the roles on this team? INS is star role player and Liazz is anchor? Vexite was support rifle? Who is lurker?

Nettik i'm guessing, can't imagine INS being that aggressive so I can see vexite taking that role while liazz goes full support kinda like a mezzi or zont1x.

I just checked ner0 database. INS is star Vexite is support Liazz is main anchor / lurker (ropz style) Dexter was big site anchor / entry I wonder if INS will give up some star roles to Vexite. Or is your point that there will be no aggressive entry if that happens? Feels like a waste to put Vexite on aggro entry unless he can put up flamez or nertz like numbers.
2025-03-15 15:02

My guess it would be Nettik = lurk (new budget ropz) Vexite is entry INS remains star but more aggro Liazz kinda needs to be support now Regali should be built around the most Ig it could be a waste to have vexite be a more aggressive entry but with how cs is rn entry players are very important and valuable. imo its a much bigger waste to use him the way they are right now.

nettik is a guy that can potentially bring back Australian CS to being a more competitive team, I really do think so, watched some games from this guy and it's real talent. I think it's an interesting move from FlyQuest, I don't like the benching of dexter since he was a really good IGL I feel like, and he was also pretty consistent as a fragger, it's not like his fragging was that bad, but it's good for INS to switch to IGLing, he has had some terrible games recently, really terrible, and I do think he might be fine as an IGL, so overall looking forward to seeing more from FlyQuest, although I still think it will take many more changes for this team to reach something big, but it's a step in the right direction. GL the boys!

I hope INS can unlock vexite potential. He hasn't really seem to have gotten better since reaching this level but at the same time its not like he gets consistent chances to play in tournaments. I think having another really good player should help relieve some stress.
