The Kazakh AWPer has signed for FURIA ahead of the BLAST.tv Austin Major.

FURIA have announced the shock signing of Danil "⁠molodoy⁠" Golubenko from AMKAL after the Brazilian organization benched Marcelo "⁠chelo⁠" Cespedes earlier on Friday.

The 20-year-old, who was a primary AWPer on his previous team, joins FURIA ahead of the Austin Major roster lock, meaning he will play the American event under the Brazilian organization.

It is unclear what the move means for FURIA's roles, given the Kazakh AWPer joins the team with Gabriel "⁠FalleN⁠" Toledo still on the roster.

molodoy is likely to join the team as the main sniper, considering he averaged a 1.26 rating with the Big Green during 2025, which would mean that FalleN would follow in the footsteps of Casper "⁠cadiaN⁠" Møller and transition to a rifling IGL.

The 20-year-old found his breakthrough after signing for AMKAL at the start of 2025, helping the team qualify for the PGL Astana 2025 Europe Closed Qualifier and reach the playoffs of CCT Season 2 Europe Series 16.

Despite this, molodoy has played just 148 HLTV-recorded maps in his career and has thus been given the tough challenge of adapting to tier-one competition and English communication.

The new-look FURIA will make their debut at PGL Astana held in molodoy's home country, Kazakhstan, set to begin on May 10.

They Will comunicate in english, everyone speaks very well, this is not a problem. If they get rid of Fallen, they will need both an entry player and a IGL. The only (brazilian) player that can do it is arT, and He is not coming back, so if this roster does not work, 2 changes will be needed after the major and their VRS will get fucked up, completely.

The idea of my move is that FALLEN would be a COACH with very high voice in the team. The other IGL would just be someone who manages what fallen tells them to do. Tbh there are very few good IGLs even if you look internationally, i dont see anyone furia can hire whho would be a HUGE upgrade from fallen... ZTR, MAKA, BIGUZERA, CADIAN, MUTIRIS, KYXSAN some of them are indeed upgrades, but not smt huge.

tier 2 NA is not comparable to EU at all, NA has been very top heavy for a long time with the rest being literal plumbers and milkmen pretty sure that everyone on Furia speaks decent English and it's not like they are some super tactical team, they need firepower and molodoy is almost certainly ten times better than any Portugese speaking AWPer international rosters are the future (and present) of CS, if Furia isn't capable of making the BR superteam due to the batshit contracts they have over there then going international makes sense

I think Furia, like m80, like wildcard, will keep a core of 3 br players + 2 CIS/EU. Fallen's contract is probably expired. So, if they get a EU/CIS (like Chrizn), they can cooked a bit. Skullz has international lineup experience and Furia went "international" with Junior.
