Chinggis Warriors secure Austin Major spot
The Mongolian side qualified for the Major after a long day of Counter-Strike.

Chinggis Warriors have qualified for the opening stage of the BLAST.tv Austin Major after beating Eruption 2-1 in the grand final of the Asia Regional Qualifier - their second match of the day after moving past Gods Reign in the tournament's consolidation final.
The biggest upset of the qualifier happened in the first lower bracket round as The Huns, the highest-ranked team of the tournament, fell to Gods Reign, who had to field a stand-in in the MRQ because of a VAC ban associated with an account belonging to Rahul "R2B2" Banerjee.

Chinggis Warriors, who picked up Sodbileg "cool4st" Batbaatar just days before the MRQ, had to go through the lower bracket after losing to Eruption 2-0 in the upper bracket final.
Their qualification hopes took a serious blow after they lost their map pick of Mirage, but they managed to turn it around with hard-fought wins on Dust2 and Nuke.
