The Russian organization say they know "there is something new ahead" despite rumors of a possible closure.

9 Pandas have moved their entire playing roster to reserve, the team have announced.

The news comes after Evgeny "⁠r3salt⁠" Frolov and company failed to progress out of Europe's MRQ, ending with a 2-3 record, but CEO Julia Sotnikova says "there is something new ahead" for the organization.

"The bottom line is that we continue to work," she said in a statement posted on Telegram and VK. "Yes, it's a transition. Yes, it's not easy. But we know for a fact that there is something new ahead. And we're gonna show it."

Rumors had spread around a possible closure, with Aleksei "⁠OverDrive⁠" Birukov reporting the loss of a criticial sponsor, but Sotnikova points to sporting reasons for the organization's decision and told taverna.gg the team would continue.

"Some of the players asked for the opportunity to restart and consider other offers," she continued. "When there is no result, motivation decreases and team connectivity is destroyed. I hope that the team will find the strength to reboot and continue the journey together."

d1ledez has played for the Pandas since they entered CS in 2022

The team features veteran Vladislav "⁠Krad⁠" Kravchenko, talented anchor prospect r3salt, and Aleksandr "⁠shalfey⁠" Marenov, a 22-year-old fragging captain.

Daniil "⁠d1Ledez⁠" Kustov and AWPer Abdurakhim "⁠mo0N⁠" Issa — who only joined in April after the removals of Vladislav "⁠Alv⁠" Vorokhobov and Artem "⁠iDISBALANCE⁠" Egorov — have also been made available for transfer.

The announcement did not specify what would happen to coach Artem "⁠Fierce⁠" Ivanov, who has skippered the team since June 2024.

Dramatic r3salt-clax swap finalized moments before 9 Pandas' RMR qualifier campaign

The organization entered CS in 2022, and qualified for PGL Major Copenhagen only to miss out due to travel issues.

A dramatic swoop for r3salt in November was completed in time for Shanghai's RMR but the team failed to qualify both there and in Austin's latest qualifiers.

The following players have been moved to the bench:

I mean, if the reason for that decision is results then Idk, if they truly lost some "critical sponsor" then they won't be getting anything better unless they find a new bookie to finance them (because I imagine that means 1xbet is leaving them). At the same time, even if it's not, it's not like they can bankroll someone better even if they have the money. Like, ex-Aurora is not better if this is what they decided to do (considering Patsi's "we will continue to play together and (almost) found a new org"), so what's they gonna do? Sign Roler Coaster and build from there?

They also transfer-listed their DotA 2 slightly over a month ago. So if Liquipedia is correct, the org currently does not have any teams under their belt. Could be a coincidence, but speaks more to the "loss of sponsor"-thing
