Vitality extend streak to 23 in a row after beating MOUZ at BLAST Rivals
The bees continue to have the upper hand against MOUZ, making it five victories in a row against them in 2025.

Vitality have tied Liquid in the historic ranking of series wins in a row, with 23, after defeating MOUZ in the BLAST Rivals Group A upper bracket final. The low-stakes match — if it weren’t for Vitality’s bid for a place in the history books — in a tournament that will have six of eight teams make it to the playoffs, puts Vitality straight through to the semi-finals, while MOUZ will have to face the Group B lower-bracket winners.
MOUZ’s Mirage pick came first in the series, a map that Ludvig "Brollan" Brolin and his men won after going the distance when they clashed with Vitality in the BLAST Open Lisbon grand final.
This time around, the map was also an exciting one, with 23 rounds played, but key victories by MOUZ, such as on a forcebuy early on in the second half with four Scout kills by Ádám "torzsi" Torzsás and Lotan "Spinx" Giladi, tipped the scale in their favor.
Then came Inferno, a map that Vitality have proven untreatable in the past, and which went 13-0 in their favor in the aforementioned BLAST Lisbon grand final. The difference was nowhere near as notable this time, but a strong 8-4 T side for Vitality was more than enough for the Dan "apEX" Madesclaire-led squad to win it in the second half, 13-9.
Vitality continuing their winning streak depended on their performance on Train, another map they beat MOUZ on in the grand final in London. MOUZ started on the CT side, but they could not contain Mathieu "ZywOo" Herbaut and apEX, who combined for 21 kills on the offense. In the second half, with a 7-5 lead, it was the ZywOo show, as he added 10 kills to his tally and 108 ADR as the bees went on to take a 13-8 victory.
"It can be good to make history, but I don’t think the NIP record will ever be broken. They deserve it, but it was another time,” apEX said before the match, and focused instead on chasing the series streak of 23 in a row set by Liquid in 2019. Vitality now head into the semi-finals with the chance to break that streak when they play on Saturday.
