Despite entering IEM Dallas with a stand-in, GamerLegion have managed to lock down a spot on stage.
GamerLegion have taken down G2 2-1 in the Group A lower-bracket elimination match of IEM Dallas to claim a place in the quarter-finals. The international side will now have the daunting task of facing off against Falcons after an arduous journey through the group stage.

GamerLegion's win over G2 served as the final game of a lengthy group stage for Erik "ztr" Gustafsson's men. The young international squad, who are making use of stand-in AWPer Frederik "acoR" Gyldstrand in lieu of Henrich "sl3nd" Hevesi, previously bested 3DMAX and FURIA while also suffering a loss to Vitality before reaching their qualifying match.

The series kicked off on GamerLegion's map pick of Ancient, where the international side rebounded from a pistol round loss to take a solid 8-4 lead on the offense.
After Mario "malbsMd" Samayoa cracked open the A bombsite with a triple kill during G2's first round on the offense, GamerLegion clawed the round back with an impressive ninja defuse.
malbsMd and Nikita "HeavyGod" Martynenko fought valiantly to keep their team competitive on Ancient, but GamerLegion were finally able to lock down their pick 13-11 after shutting down a seven-round streak from G2.
G2 looked far stronger to start on their pick of Mirage, racking up an early 7-1 lead thanks to the continued efforts of HeavyGod and malbsMd. Despite their strong start, G2 were unable to keep their momentum up into their CT-side, as GamerLegion began to claw things back.
In the end, G2 finally managed to scrounge together the win on Mirage with a 13-10 scoreline, sending the series to Nuke.
G2 kept up their momentum on Nuke, responding to GamerLegion's pistol round win with a solid run of six rounds on the defense. After taking a 7-5 half, G2 further extended their lead with the second pistol, but GamerLegion rallied on the defense thanks to the efforts of Oldřich "PR" Nový, who propelled his team to a 13-10 win to lock in their place in the quarter-finals.
