acoR: "I've had a few offers that I turned down"
The Danish AWPer spoke about reaching the playoffs at IEM Dallas during a successful stand-in stint with GamerLegion.

Entering IEM Dallas, GamerLegion seemed to be in a difficult spot, following a 0-3 exit from PGL Astana and being forced to use stand-in Frederik "acoR" Gyldstrand in place of Hungarian AWPer Henrich "sl3nd" Hevesi.
Despite the setbacks, GamerLegion have rallied to the playoffs in Texas, securing a spot in the quarter-finals after baggings wins over 3DMAX, FURIA, and G2.

After his team's win over G2, acoR sat down with HLTV to discuss his reaction to reaching the IEM Dallas playoffs, the process of returning to the server after six months, and his time as a free agent.

We're here with acoR after a hard-fought win over G2 at IEM Dallas. You're headed to the quarter-finals; how are you feeling?
This game was very important for us to win. It's been very hard for me personally to come into a team as a stand-in and having to learn all the strats, executes, and timings. It's very important to boost the team morale and everyone's mood and energy. I mean, it was a very long day as well with two BO3s and a very tight schedule. Just in general, a very important win today.
With that tight schedule in mind, how much time have you had to get integrated into the GamerLegion lineup?
I mean, I had five practice games with them before the Dallas game. They flew from Astana to here, and we had five practice games in all, and then just official games, basically no practice. Just preparation for each official game we had.
Tomorrow is an off-day, so is that going to be a break considering how busy today was, or will you try and cram in as much practice as possible?
I think a bit of both. We're definitely going to prep for the next team as well. I can't speak for the team because I'm not a member of the team, but I think in general they prep really good for every team we play, so I think we'll continue prepping for all the other teams as well. But, I think we might take it a bit easy tomorrow as well so we can get a nice-earned break. We also have a guy who is not feeling well today, so yeah.
What even were the expectations going into this event?
The other guys really wanted to go to playoffs, me included, but I didn't really know what to expect coming into the team as a stand-in. Us making playoffs is just one big bonus, and it feels really good to be in the playoffs now.
For you especially, it's been about six months since you've been in the server. How does it feel to be playing again?
I could definitely feel a lot of rustiness coming into the first official games, and even then I only feel like today I actually stepped up in the two games we played, which feels really nice to be honest. Going forward, I think everyone is going to play with confidence, and hopefully we'll keep up the good mood and the team energy.
You've got a pretty daunting matchup with Falcons in the quarterfinals. Do you have any thoughts on that game?
Probably a pretty tough opponent, to be honest. m0NESY is, if not the best player in the world, probably the second at least. It's going to be a very tough opponent and I guess we'll just do our best, the only thing we can do, prep hard and do our best.
While you were on TSM's bench and now as a free agent, have you received any offers or were you just biding your time?
First part of my free agent life I was kind of chilling a bit in real life, being with friends and family and stuff. I've had a few offers that I turned down because I just wasn't feeling it, and I kinda want to pick the right project or a thing that I can actually fully believe in and go into with the right mentality. For now, hopefully, there's a team after the Major cycle, and we'll see what happens. I can't say for sure.
