Final group stage matches of Austin Major set

Just three spots in the playoffs remain up for grabs as the Swiss group of Stage 3 draws to a close.

The final matchups of the final group stage of the BLAST.tv Austin Major have been set.

Headlining the three do-or-die matches is The MongolZ's clash with G2. Both sides endured difficult losses in their 2-1 matches, with The MongolZ faltering to FaZe while G2 fell just shy of taking down Natus Vincere for a spot in playoffs. Both teams will be looking to make up for their tough losses with a win in the 2-2 pool.

After clawing their way back from a dismal 0-2 record, MOUZ will face one final hurdle in their path to the playoffs in the form of Legacy. The Brazilian squad has already impressed in Austin, marching through Stage 2 with a flawless 3-0 record and putting an end to Vitality's impressive 30-match streak, so Lucas "⁠lux⁠" Meneghini's men will no doubt be looking to add to that impressive tally with a Major playoff appearance at MOUZ's expense.

Finally, Virtus.pro, who secured a 3-0 record in Stage 2 and a 2-0 start in Stage 3, will be looking to avoid their third best-of-three loss in a row as they face off against paiN in their final opportunity to secure Major playoffs. Like MOUZ, paiN have also crawled back from a 0-2 record, and will be looking to complete their climb to the Moody Center with a win over Denis "⁠electroNic⁠" Sharipov's men.
