The French AWPer links up with the team ahead of FISSURE Playground 1.

GamerLegion have announced the signing of 23-year-old AWPer Jeremy "⁠Kursy⁠" Gast as their replacement for Henrich "⁠sl3nd⁠" Hevesi.

Kursy is a graduate of the Sebastien "⁠KRL⁠" Perez-owned GenOne project, which has also developed the likes of Filip "⁠Graviti⁠" Brankovic and Ryan "⁠Neityu⁠" Aubry. He also played alongside Richard "⁠shox⁠" Papillon and Edouard "⁠SmithZz⁠" Dubourdeaux in Nakama in 2023.

The Frenchman has a 1.13 rating so far in 2025, though only eight of his 129 maps came against top 50 opposition. He must now face the daunting challenge of being parachuted into tier one and a top-11 team in the world.

Kursy will make his first appearance for GamerLegion next week as the team will travel to Belgrade to compete in FISSURE Playground 1. They have been placed in Group A along with FURIA, Wildcard and SAW.

Yes, that's true, Ash has developed many players in the past. However, right now, Phzy seems incredibly strong as an AWPer, and this decision also seems like a good one. Considering Ash has the ability to shape players, he could also mould Kursy into a solid AWPer, though it will still take some time.
