Media: MIBR target nicks to replace Lucaozy

The team's new reinforcement will seemingly come from Fluxo.

MIBR are close to reaching an agreement with Fluxo for the transfer of Nicollas "⁠nicks⁠" Polonio, according to a report from Dust2 Brasil. The 19-year-old would take Lucas "⁠Lucaozy⁠" Neves' place on the roster after he benched himself shortly after the Austin Major due to role changes and overlaps with Felipe "⁠insani⁠" Yuji.

nicks has been on the sidelines since March, when he was benched by Fluxo to make way for Matheus "⁠mlhzin⁠" Marçola. He averaged a 1.03 rating over 226 maps in his 14-month stint with Fluxo while playing the lurker-mixed anchor roles that MIBR are in sore need of.

nicks is no stranger to the MIBR organization as he played for MIBR Academy from January 2023 to May 2024 before joining Fluxo.

His return to the organization would come after MIBR reached the playoffs of PGL Astana and fell just short of reaching Stage 3 of the BLAST.tv Austin Major, notably seeing to the elimination of Falcons before bowing out themselves.

The Brazilian team has struggled to find a winning formula and fallen below their countrymen from paiN, FURIA, and Legacy, and will hope solving their role clash with nicks can turn that around.
