Official: Wildcard complete team with Peeping and fr3nd

The international side will kick off the second half of 2025 with two new additions.

Wildcard have announced the promotion of Sebastian "⁠fr3nd⁠" Kuśmierz from Wildcard Academy and the signing of former Nouns rifler Jaxon "⁠Peeping⁠" Cornwell. This pair of moves completes the team's lineup after the benching of Peter "⁠stanislaw⁠" Jarguz and Love "⁠phzy⁠" Smidebrant on July 1.

Peeping has been tied to Wildcard for quite some time, with Dust2.us having reported in early May that the American rifler would be joining the international side after the BLAST.tv Austin Major.

Peeping has been touted as one of North America's most promising up-and-coming riflers. For the first half of 2025 Peeping played under the Nouns banner, averaging a stunning 1.26 rating across 90 maps against domestic opposition.

AWPer fr3nd has spent the majority of his career competing in Polish units, namely Permitta, Enterprise, and Wiktor "⁠TaZ⁠" Wojtas and Filip "⁠NEO⁠" Kubski's HONORIS. The 23-year-old Pole joined Wildcard Academy at the beginning of the year, putting up a 1.16 average rating throughout his 68 maps with the academy squad.

The new-look Wildcard will be among the first teams to make their debut in the second half of the year, as the team is set to return to action in Fissure Playground 1 in Belgrade, Serbia, on July 15.

Peeping is decent, although idk who'll anchor in that team, doubt it'll be JBa or susp meaning sonic and peeping will play anchor with the latter's numbers taking a significant blow. Fr3nd will shit the bed, I'm a #1 fr3nd hater, can't wait for him to pull 0.8 masterclasses

This is gonna be some heavy cope from me, but imo he’s very similar to flamez. Very mechanically gifted, often takes space on ct side if allowed, but firstly an anchor.

Imo they should of went for adamb (since he's leaving) and should of gotten dea/slump and kept stan while moving jba to more active positions cuz you can be like flameZ but your efforts can be quickly discarded by the plays your *star players* make

I mean yeah ideally it would be nice if jba could play star roles and perform as well as he does, but the fact is some players are better at some spots than others. Some players are specialists. And as we’ve seen, specialists are usually in high demand. Do you know how rare of a player profile jba is? Amazing anchor, but extremely efficient aggressive space taker/entry on t side. The amount of players like that in t1 you could probably count on 10 fingers

Im just saying that I really dislike the roster changes done by wildcard and thus I am expressing my worry for JBa's future given the fact that, imo, this roster is not better, some could argue is worse than the previous one which could stagnate JBa's growth (lack of wins when it matters -> losing Vrs points -> not getting the chance to learn from better opposition) also let's not forget that Stan was the one who brought JBa into wildcard (if im not mistaken) and had given his whole faith in him therefore, I'm sure making it comfortable for JBa to perform at his best whereas I have doubt about fr3nd's IGLing abilities (and frankly his awping)

I see all this Stan glaze and I don’t get it. Yes, he raised wildcard up, but he’s also brought them down. They’ve been nothing but hot ass this entire year after killing it in Shanghai. How did they drop off if they didn’t change any players? I still remember watching Stan call them into like 5+ eco stacks on inferno at the Austin major. The system has just looked uninspired. And I see where you’re coming from with jba, but he’s also older and grown as a player a lot. This will show us if he’s the real deal. If he keeps performing highly in this fucked environment, Col or liquid need to seriously inquire about him. As for fr3nd, I have no opinion on him, but I don’t like cutting phzy

I understand your POV, the stan glaze isn't really a glaze it's just an honest evaluation of what he can bring to the table, sure he shit the bed with his calls the latest tournaments and lacks firepower but will it really be better with a new awp-igl who has minimal success in that department? I guess we'll find out.

Dea is too unknown but tier 3 Polish AWPer fr3nd who’s shit the bed every opportunity available to him isn’t? I remember watching him a few years ago in HONORIS, reiko was the only serviceable player in that roster and the rest weren't even close, maybe bar TaZ for his IGLing. 1.16 on an academy roster doesn't even come close to justifying him to an org with expectations to be upper tier 2.
