Cologne roster announcement confirms MATYS to G2 and nicks to MIBR moves

G2 has registered the Slovakian rifler in place of Snax.

ESL has revealed the complete list of rosters and substitutes registered by teams for the first Big Event after the tournament break, IEM Cologne, which is set to run from July 23 to August 3.

Most notable among the list are G2 and MIBR, who have registered Matúš "⁠MATYS⁠" Šimko and Nicollas "⁠nicks⁠" Polonio, respectively, confirming moves previously reported by HLTV and Dust2 Brasil.

The Slovakian rifler will replace Janusz "⁠Snax⁠" Pogorzelski on G2 as Nemanja "⁠huNter-⁠" Kovač takes over leadership duties, with the team also registering Álvaro "⁠SunPayus⁠" García and coach Eetu "⁠sAw⁠" Saha to complete their roster.

nicks slots in for Lucas "⁠Lucaozy⁠" Neves on MIBR after the latter benched himself due to role conflicts after the BLAST.tv Austin Major, but will make his debut for the team one week prior when MIBR compete at FISSURE Playground 1.

Other highlights include Spirit submitting team manager Vladislav "lo9d" Drozdov as their sole substitute player, Falcons naming benched duo Emil "⁠Magisk⁠" Reif and Abdul "⁠degster⁠" Gasanov among their substitutes, and G2 registering their entire academy roster as backup options.

Astralis have submitted a roster that includes WOPA's André "⁠Zanto⁠" Christiansen as a substitute.
