The tenured Pole is heading to the bench, with HLTV earlier reporting that huNter- is set to take over as IGL.

Snax guided G2 to two trophies in 2024, BLAST Fall Final and BLAST World Final

G2 have announced that Janusz "⁠Snax⁠" Pogorzelski has been moved to the bench, bringing to an end his year-long stint on the starting roster.

The news follows a HLTV report that stated that G2 were searching for a replacement for Snax as Nemanja "⁠huNter-⁠" Kovač was set to take over as IGL.

"We can't thank Snax enough for his contributions and plays since joining us last year," G2's statement read. "We wouldn't have been able to lift the BLAST Fall Final and BLAST World Final without you."

Snax joined G2 mid-way through last year to take over the IGL duties from Rasmus "⁠HooXi⁠" Nielsen, as part of a larger overhaul that also saw the arrival of Mario "⁠malbsMd⁠" Samayoa at the start of the year.

The 32-year-old enjoyed a fruitful first six months with G2, taking second at Esports World Cup in his very first tournament before going on to win BLAST Fall Final, BLAST World Final, and finish top four at PGL Shanghai Major.

G2 were dealt a significant blow at the start of 2025, however, as talismanic rifler Nikola "⁠NiKo⁠" Kovač finally completed his long-rumoured move to Falcons. This left G2 without an important and vocal piece of the team, and their results suffered. The team were weakened further as, towards the end of the season, Ilya "⁠m0NESY⁠" Osipov followed in NiKo's footsteps and also joined Falcons.

Snax came under increased scrutiny as G2's results soured. Not only was his poor individual output highlighted, but many questioned his contributions as a caller in light of the team's apparent struggles to cope with the absence of the significant mid-round voice of NiKo.

With huNter- set to take over leadership duties, G2 have been on the hunt for a young rifle talent to add to their lineup in the off-season. The team were linked with Kacper "⁠xKacpersky⁠" Gabara at first, before apparently switching their sights to fnatic's Matúš "⁠MATYS⁠" Šimko.

G2 are already set to welcome two new personnel as part of their latest revamp, with coach Eetu "⁠sAw⁠" Saha and AWPer Álvaro "⁠SunPayus⁠" García already signed up ahead of the upcoming season.

Sorry, but the truth is that G2 is tier 3 at best right now with Paypalus, underperforming Malbs and now about to be shit Hunter as he will be responsible to call so he will become as bad as brollan when he took over. HeavyGod is super inconsistent and if rumors about Matys are true then it's max 3 to 6 months till G2 will leave cs. Not saying that removing Snax was a bad idea, but stating a fact that 2 best players left and there's no1 in the team that fills that gap.

This team has the potential to be top10 easily, if not better, sunpayus together with sAw is good, they've been together for years, malbs has been getting better and +sAw will def help, hunter has good potential as IGL and people been saying that for years since he joined G2 and together with sunpayus second calling he can adapt faster, it will be better than snax 100%, Matys also has really good potential, he's good even while stuck with blamef, sAw and better teammates will make him even better, speaking of those 2 chokers that got sold, even dead G2 with fcking taz+snax+hades pushed NAVI and Mongolz to their limits while 10m failcons roster shit their bed against mibr, b8 and lynn. It's literally not coping, just being objective Stat-wise, individually, he wasn't worse than many IGLs in t1. Definition of average. Definitely not bad. Strat-wise, his T-side WR% on the major was the best, and very good throughout 2025 overall, despite G2's struggles. That's a bit better than average, honestly. But people been hating on him so much that you'd guess G2 had the worst T-side WR% in 2025 out of all teams... not the case though.

He's definitely overhated. Turned a very bad G2 under Hooxie into a top 1 team the 2nd half of 2024. It was a shame m0nesy very mid that Shanghai major and niko fumbled playoffs as well. Were the clear favourites to win it, arguably should have. Snax definitly did well, even tho many people won't give him the credits for it.

Yeah hunter is amazing rifler with 1.05 rating and doing some of the biggest errors on the scene consistently. But it might be a good swap, IGLs are usually not very useful riflers, all top IGLs, except Apex have bad rating. So as useless as hunter is it might be a sensible role for him. There is just one problem - no experience as IGL. And what he shows as second caller tells me it will not work.

cuz mainly its not Snax thing that G2 play so bad recently. Malbs underperforms. HeavyGod has good start in G2 but know hes average. Hunter has good moments but in overall hes not in prime. Ofc loooking for rating Snax is bad but in overall hes not only responsible for G2 performance
