The South American organization is reportedly turning to a Brazilian pair to complete their lineup.

MartinezSa and adamS are seemingly on the outs at 9z

9z are set to replace Spanish AWPer Antonio "⁠MartinezSa⁠" Martinez and Romanian rifler Adam "⁠adamS⁠" Marian according to a report from Dust2 Brasil. In their steed, 9z are reportedly acquiring Brazilian duo Guilherme "⁠levi⁠" Gustavo and Lucas "⁠urban0⁠" Urbano from W7M.

The report comes after a disappointing first half of 2025 for 9z, as the team generally came up short in various qualifiers and online events behind domestic South American competition.

A runner-up finish at FiReLEAGUE Buenos Aires offered a bright spot for the team, but this paled in comparison to the disappointment of missing out on notable LANs as well as the BLAST.tv Austin Major South America Major Regional Qualifier.

MartinezSa has spent the last year and a half with 9z, notably helping the team reach a semi-final finish at IEM Dallas 2024, toppling names like MOUZ, Liquid, and Vitality in the process. The South American side struggled to replicate this success for much of the rest of 2024, culminating in a failed qualifying campaign for the Perfect World Shanghai Major.

adamS was brought on more recently, added in February 2025 to replace Uruguayan rifler Franco "⁠dgt⁠" Garcia as he prepared for a transfer to domestic rival paiN.

To replace the duo, 9z reportedly have their sights set on AWPer levi and rifler urban0, who have been playing under ex-W7M following W7M's departure from Counter-Strike earlier in the year.

While Dust2 Brasil states that adamS is headed to the bench, MartinezSa may return to action under a new side in short order, as a report from Sheep Esports tied the AWPer to a union with Iberian Soul under the banner of French organization Gentle Mates.

With these changes, 9z would become:

Hauso has the lowest rating of the team. Without your fraggers, you typically dont get rounds won...killers gonna kill.But its also up to your anchor/lurker to do their job...whether its getting an early pick, vision for comms on enemy location, or actually anchor/prepare for retake. This entire series he played out of position or didnt capitalize on smart plays. that has little to do with the team and more about individual skill. He was the only person the team who finished with a bad 2.o rating...a whole .02 difference from venomzera. Replace the anchor/lurker.

So Iberian Soul - ex-KOI - would become Gentle Mates with a full 5 man spanish lineup. Good luck to them I suppose, if Martinez returns to explosive form, they could make a run to Budapest but they need a hell of a summer to have any chance. If anything, they'll be building for the future and look towards the summer of 2026. Sucks for AdamS, if he isn't on Nexus, he'll be mired in Tier 3 or 4 mixes. 9z meanwhile go from cratering to the bottom after their big pieces all moved away to now looking to make a comeback into the upper echelons of South America. For them, the goal is also very simple: Make Tier 1 events, grab points wherever you can and sneak your way into the final spots at the Major or at the first one of 2026.

Talent wise for sure, same with the addition of martinez because both have tier 1 raw talent, but the reality is the team was playing better than ever now with Stadodo and dav1g that are probably a bit less selfish. Let's see how it goes for them.

Joining his former teammates, having some rough matches and some promising just for the community calling him a bot in the end, even if he is a solid AWP ( I was one of the guys who did so on his Movistar Riders time) He got better, but now he has to show it on the big boy scene aka EU

adams is the better player thats for sure but they are playing well with this core lately, the stadodo thing was a low punch but it had to be done he is a very bad awper if they want to go for Budapest, but dav1g is very unselfish and the dude is very close with adams so there is no way they do that unless dav1g offers adams to join replacing him or he plays bad after a period of time
