Complexity edge out BIG for FPG playoffs
Complexity booked their spot in playoffs after a lengthy series that concluded at nearly 2 AM local time.

Complexity have secured a place in the quarterfinals of FISSURE Playground 1 after taking down BIG in a lengthy 2-1 series.
Complexity and BIG, squads that elected not to make changes in the recent off-season, both fared well in their opening matches in the Serbian event, taking down BetBoom and HEROIC, respectively, to kick off their seasons. Complexity have now retained that momentum heading into playoffs, while BIG have now been forced to hunt for another win before moving on to the quarterfinals.
While Complexity will be enjoying their brief reprieve ahead of the start of playoffs, BIG will need to pick themselves up from this close loss in short order, as the German side is set to face off against BetBoom in a do-or-die decider match to conclude the group stage.

Håkon "hallzerk" Fjærli's aggression into Tunnels and dynamic play around A was a thorn in BIG's side for much of the first half of Dust2, an early string of rounds from the Germans falling by the wayside when Complexity overpowered Middle and Catwalk to swing momentum in their favor.
An 8-4 lead for the American team was not enough to get the job done, however, as Karim "Krimbo" Moussa found several multi-kills early into his team's CT effort to close the gap, and the wheels fell off the wagon for Complexity after they squandered a pivotal 3v5 at 12-8. BIG ran with that to force overtime, and triples from Johannes "tabseN" Wodarz, Can "kyuubii" Ali, and Marcel "hyped" Köhn in the extra set of rounds let them close, 16-13.
Complexity's troubles continued on Train, where their 3-0 start on the T side gave way to a 4-8 deficit at the break. BIG ran away on the defense thanks to exceptional multi-fragging from Krimbo and kyuubii, but had the script flipped on them in the second half despite winning the pistol round.
Complexity's MP9s reigned supreme in the all-important force-buy, and Danny "Cxzi" Strzelczyk and Michael "Grim" Wince's multi-kills in Yard slowly brought the deficit down to a minimum. BIG stabilized as the game came down to the wire and hit map point, but Johnny "JT" Theodosiou's Deagle netted a map-changing triple kill, allowing Complexity to force OT. While the Germans were able to bring the map to double overtime, Complexity rallied to get their pick over the line 19-16.
Though they started Nuke with a 3-0 streak, Complexity struggled to stick the landing for much of their T-side despite the efforts of hallzerk, who mustered a 1.56 rating on the defense. After BIG complemented their 7-5 half with a 3-0 run of their own to start on the offense, it seemed like the American side was headed to Group D's decider match. In the end, a team effort from Complexity allowed them to halt BIG in their tracks, locking down Nuke 13-10 to march on to playoffs.
