C4LLM3SU3: "We became more confident after the Major"
"The five or six of us, being together, being through these games, has made our connections stronger and brought more chemistry to the team," Lynn Vision's player told HLTV.

Lynn Vision have locked up a spot in the quarter-final stage of FISSURE Playground 1 after topping their group with wins over 3DMAX and paiN, two higher-ranked opponents.
It's a strong start to the season from the Chinese side, who came through the first two stages of the Austin Major before eventually crashing out of Stage 3 with a 1-3 record.

"After the Major, we became more confident," Qihao "C4LLM3SU3" Su told HLTV. "So we went from, 'We are probably going to lose against the team' to, 'We're going to beat them.'"
In the playoffs, Lynn Vision will be joined by fellow Chinese side TYLOO, who also topped their group despite missing Dongkai "Jee" Ji. These results add to what has been a fantastic year for Asian Counter-Strike, headlined by The MongolZ's grand final run in Austin.
"I guess we can see the rise of Asian CS and also Chinese CS;" he said. "After the Major, both teams [Lynn Vision and TYLOO] are doing really well. Our followers will expect bigger things from us, and we don't want them to be down."
Congratulations on making the playoffs. You came out on top of your group by beating 3DMAX and paiN, two teams that are ranked higher than you. How confident were you heading into these matches?
After the Major, we became more confident. So we went from, 'We are probably going to lose against the team' to, 'We're going to beat them.' They actually didn't play that well. We didn't do lots of contests, we just finished our plays better and made fewer mistakes. And then it's just easier for us during the game.
And what do you attribute this mentality shift to? Was it just the result you had at the Major, where you made it to Stage 3? Is there anything different about the team compared to before when you are playing these European teams that have more experience than you?
The main thing is the result we had at the Major. The five or six of us, being together, being through these games, has made our connections stronger and brought more chemistry to the team.
You came to this event after the Major and the player break. How did you prepare for it? What sort of expectations did you have coming here?
We only practiced for like a week in China, with a decent or kind of low quality of scrims. Anyway, this tournament is still like a recovery for us. We're trying to find our feelings back and then prepare for more important tournaments later.

When you were at the Major, you told us you expected the team to do better in the future. Are these results a reflection of that, or do you think it's also because this is the start of the season and everyone is still trying to figure things out?
Our coordination has become a lot better, but still, for this tournament, they don't have lots of very good teams. So we were expecting to make the playoffs.
z4kr had that crazy highlight yesterday, a 1v5 on Anubis. How did everyone on the team react?
I think everyone got shocked. Speaking for myself, after I died, I was watching the beginning of the 1v5, and I seriously had a feeling he was going to win it somehow. And then he did it. [laughs]
There were also some other crazy moments. For example, EmiliaQAQ had that Desert Eagle clip on Dust2 and an ace on Nuke. When it comes to the individual level, do you think Chinese players are getting better and on par with the top European players?
The mechanics of Chinese players are very good. The main things we need to work on are our strategies, coordination and communication. Our mechanics are good. We can shoot pretty well, even against the top European teams. The difference is the strats. We just need more experience against the top teams, and we are getting there.
The MongolZ made it all the way to the final of the Major. You reached Stage 3 of the Major and you're now in the playoffs here together with TYLOO. Is this a good time for Asian CS?
I guess we can see the rise of Asian CS and also Chinese CS. After the Major, both teams are doing really well. I think our followers will have higher expectations for us, and we don't want them to be down.
