Valve release August ranking update
Invites to IEM Chengdu are due to go out based on Monday's Valve ranking update.

A monthly update to Valve's Regional Standings was released on Monday, with the results of IEM Cologne significantly shaking up the standings.
Spirit (3rd to 2nd), Natus Vincere (8th to 5th), and FURIA (9th to 6th) were unsurprisingly the biggest movers thanks to their results in Germany, while TYLOO's FISSURE victory propelled them from 20th to 10th.
A few teams went the other way, however. Liquid dropped a considerable nine spots thanks to their lacklustre form in Cologne and their decision to skip FISSURE Playground, and now reside in 26th place.
Aurora also dropped down five places to 11th, while HEROIC were also negatively impacted and fell down six spots to 18th.
The August ranking will determine invites to IEM Chengdu and Thunderpick World Championship, and the invitations are set to be distributed as follows:
IEM Chengdu
-
2 spots by Europe VRS
-
2 spots by Americas VRS
-
2 spots by Asia VRS
-
10 spots by Global VRS (awarded after the six regional invites have been handed out)
Thunderpick World Championship
-
4 spots by Global VRS
