The Mongolian team cannot play in the tournament due to visa issues.

Liquid will participate in the online group stage

BLAST has announced that Liquid will take the place of The MongolZ at BLAST Open London due to visa issues, as the Mongolian squad would not be able to travel to England in the case that they made it through the opening online stage.

Liquid have been struggling since returning to play from the break after deciding to not make transfers in the off-season, and were eliminated from IEM Cologne with two 0-2 losses to FaZe and MOUZ.

After that, they were eliminated from the BLAST Open London qualifier, losing to VP.Prodigy and finishing 5-8th in the online tournament, which ECSTATIC won.

Liquid got to play ECSTATIC at another online group stage for a BLAST event, BLAST Bounty, and beat the Danish team 2-0 in a series that had a quintuple-overtime on Train to tally their first win of the season.

Now, Liquid have been given another chance due to The MongolZ missing out on BLAST London, and will fight for one of the six spots in the playoffs in the British capital on September 5-7.

Don't get me wrong Liquid sucks right now every1 knows that, but I have a weird premonition about Liquid replacing Mongolz at Blast London. I don't really see them winning London but I think it will be another playoff appearance like what's happening right now at blast bounty.
