The Turkish rifler will return to activity after the Esports World Cup.

HEROIC have announced the return of Yasin "⁠xfl0ud⁠" Koç to the active roster after benching the Turkish rifler in June for Linus "⁠nilo⁠" Bergman.

The 22-year-old will take the place of Andrey "⁠tN1R⁠" Tatarinovich after the Esports World Cup.

"The truth of the situation is that it's a byproduct of Andrey [tN1R] leaving us. In order for us to retain our VRS points and keeping a core from the iteration of the roster pre-summer, we have to bring back either Yasin [xfl0ud] or Alvaro [SunPayus]," Robin Nymann, HEROIC's director of esports, told HLTV.

"That being said, Yasin is and has always been a solid player. We're happy to have him back. Tobias [TOBIZ] had conversations with Yasin, and I with his agent, about the improvements we want to see from him in order to make his return to HEROIC as successful as possible."

xfl0ud: "I was not expecting to be benched"

The move continues a turbulent period for the Norwegian organization. HEROIC lost Eetu "⁠sAw⁠" Saha and Álvaro "⁠SunPayus⁠" García to G2 in the offseason and replaced them with Tobias "⁠TOBIZ⁠" Theo and Gleb "⁠gr1ks⁠" Gazin, while nilo took the place of xfl0ud.

The Belarusian AWPer then lost his place on the roster after just two events with the team, and the team opted to loan Alimzhan "⁠Alkaren⁠" Bitimbai from Spirit with an option to buy, with xfl0ud's return now adding to the revolving door of players.
