How Rating 3.0 affects the top 10 teams
We've looked into the delta between 2.1 and 3.0 for the best teams in the world.

Rating 3.0 is here and the question on everyone's lips is who are the winners and losers from our brand new formula.
So, we've dived into the 2025 data to see the players on the up and down for each of the top 10 teams by HLTV ranking. We've also included their Round Swing , to get people used to what kind of % the best (and less good) players are able to garner.
Players are sorted by role, to show any patterns as you scroll through, with boosts for players who use low-value equipment and those whose kills count for more and deaths count for less.
This is just an apertif, of course: More content around rating 3.0 will come soon.

Vitality
Vitality, as a team with a high round win percentage, play a lot of anti-ecos compared to the average team, and that's part of why their players drop.
That's with the exception of Shahar "flameZ" Shushan and William "mezii" Merriman, who are rewarded by changes to 3.0 that help players who are traded a lot, and those who use weaker weaponry or rarely give their life away for free.
High ratings like that of Mathieu "ZywOo" Herbaut have also been brought slightly down because of standardization; anything above 1.30 is truly exceptional over this sample size

Spirit
Spirit also win a lot of rounds and play a lot of anti-ecos, so the ZywOo story is similar for Danil "donk" Kryshkovets with ratings coming a bit closer to 1.00 even for the elite players.
Myroslav "zont1x" Plakhotia is the only player who improves, helped by his measured, low-mistake playstyle, which is one that Swing gives credit to.

MOUZ
MOUZ are a team that we traditionally see as a committee of fraggers, and that's even more true in 3.0: Clutch support Jimi "Jimpphat" Salo is up 0.03, and entry Dorian "xertioN" Berman is down 0.05.
These two are some of the biggest movers under 3.0, with xertioN particularly suffering from Swing compared to other spacetakers, and Jimpphat particularly benefiting.

The MongolZ
Support players Ayush "mzinho" Batbold and Sodbayar "Techno" Munkhbold from The MongolZ gain with the new ratings as examples of players who often use SMGs and guns that benefit from eco-adjustment.
Usukhbayar "910" Banzragch is one of the AWPers who suffers a bit from the change, largely because you now get fewer points for kills with the big green since it is seen as a stronger weapon in most engagements, and his Swing isn't strong enough to catch him up.

Natus Vincere
Mihai "iM" Ivan is one of the players who eco-fragged the most in 2024 according to his stats from Skybox EDGE. But in 3.0, he stays at the same rating thanks to having plenty of impact in gun rounds and the simple fact that eco frags balance out over this large a sample size.
Valeriy "b1t" Vakhovskiy and Ihor "w0nderful" Zhdanov, meanwhile, are big improvers under the system, with the latter proving that impactful AWPing is still rewarded by 3.0 despite eco-adjustment.

FURIA
Mareks "YEKINDAR" Gaļinskis is the exact type of info-gathering, bozo-dying, aggressive rifler hit by Swing over big samples. He does use plenty of SMGs so the drop in rating is not terminal, but costly, untraded, deaths in man-up situations will always be an issue for players of his style.
Kaike "KSCERATO" Cerato is the opposite, a player who never gives his life away for free, and uses his long time alive to deal significant output (83.1 eco-adjusted ADR).

FaZe
David "frozen" Čerňanský, like KSCERATO, jumps up plenty after the update thanks to his low-risk, high-output, school of rifling.
Jonathan "EliGE" Jablonowski also jumps up 0.01, thanks to being so high in output with a 1.17 multi-kill rating and high damage and kills.

Aurora
The story of Aurora in 2025 has been of Ali "Wicadia" Haydar Yalçın stepping up into main star rifler duty, and 3.0 has made that even more clear by putting both him and Ismailcan "XANTARES" Dörtkardeş on 1.12 ratings.
Samet "jottAAA" Köklü and Engin "MAJ3R" Küpeli, players left with the scraps quite often, jump up 0.02.

Falcons
René "TeSeS" Madsen is the big mover on Falcons, with the rest of the fragging core dropping a few decimal points.
Ilya "m0NESY" Osipov has the third highest Swing this year, but that's only enough for a 1.22 rating, a good deal behind his 2024 statistics.

paiN
paiN round out the top 10 with all of their players jumping up a bit in rating 3.0.
Lucas "nqz" Soares is the big beneficiary, a late-round specialist who wields the Big Green well enough for a +1.69% Swing.
