sidde: "We are in the process of learning how to play these big games in these big arenas"
"The only way we can get to the same level of understanding [of big games] is going through those games," FURIA's coach shared after a tough loss.

After an impressive run through the online group stage of BLAST Open London 2025, where FURIA claimed the scalps of Spirit and MOUZ, Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo's men failed to earn a win on stage after faltering to G2 in a one-sided semi-final series.
The international side are slowly adding to their tally of playoff runs this year, having also reached the arena portions of PGL Astana, BLAST.tv Austin Major, and IEM Cologne. Yet, FURIA are still coming up short of a run where they have been competitive for the trophy. BLAST Open London was no different.
"Even though it's not our first playoffs, and it's always the same, it's hard for us to win an arena match," FURIA coach Sid "sidde" Macedo shared after the team's difficult loss to G2.
"Even though we are making arenas, we are collecting experience on how to actually perform in the arena. We are in this moment right now."

Tell me how disappointing that is, with all the Brazilian fans that made it.
It's very nice that the Brazilian fans were very loud, it made us feel like home a little bit. Even though we had a difficult match they were here supporting the whole time, just grateful for them.
What went wrong inside the server? This new G2 are shocking everyone, winning all the pistols, what do you put it down to?
They were more fired up, more warmed up, somehow. Maybe because they had a good game yesterday against FaZe, of course that gives them confidence and makes you more ready for the start of the game. They were more energetic inside the server and hitting harder than us. Individually we were so behind them in terms of shooting, their level was so high. It was very difficult to match it.
Is it hard to prepare against this new G2 compared to the previous one? How different is it?
I didn't feel it was too difficult. Of course you can tell they have a lot of good strats. It's not easy but it's not like you don't know what they're doing, it's just that individually they're so good. With the good structure they have, when the individuals they have are hitting, it's going to be very hard to play against them and that was the case today.

What can you take away from this for the team? Top 5 VRS, on an upwards trajectory still, what's your takeaway from this event?
I feel like we are in the process of learning how to play these big games in these big arenas. Even though it's not our first playoffs, and it's always the same, it's hard for us to win an arena match. The only way you can get to that level is when you, as a team, are used to those kinds of games and those kinds of opponents. huNter-, SunPayus, malbsMd, they're used to big games like this. Us, as a team right now, we are just not there yet and the only way we can get to the same level of understanding is going through those games. We are going through the process now. Even though we are making arenas we are collecting experience on how to actually perform in the arena. We are in this moment right now.
How valuable is it for molodoy to get this experience so early in his career? it's his third arena already.
Sometimes we even forget how young he is and how quickly he is transitioning between tier-three, tier-four, and tier-one. So, for him, of course, any arena or big game that he plays, even if he doesn't perform, he's collecting experience and adding it to his resume to the point where he feels more comfortable. We know he's comfortable, but it's not the same as studio or online games. Everything is just so new for him. A lot goes through a player's mind when you go through that kind of transition. For him, it's just a matter of biding up arena games and when we least expect it he's going to have good games in arenas as well.
