ECSTATIC approach Major qualification zone with Betclic Clash Summer title
The Danish team will make two more trips in the coming weeks in the hopes of racking up more VRS points.

ECSTATIC won Betclic Clash Summer on Sunday after beating fnatic 2-1 in the grand final, moving up to 19th in the Europe VRS, just 54 points off the qualification zone for the Budapest Major.
It was the Danish team's second tournament appearance since bringing in veteran Frederik "acoR" Gyldstrand as their new AWPer. Next week, the team will have the chance to build on the momentum gained with this title when they travel to Bucharest to compete at DraculaN Season 2.

It will be the first of two trips that ECSTATIC will make before the October 6 Major invite cutoff. Earlier that month, the team will attend Fragadelphia Blocktober, which will also feature teams like OG, fnatic, Ninjas in Pyjamas, SAW and Passion UA.
Held at the Kinguin Esports Lounge in Gdańsk, Betclic Clash Summer featured eight teams and a single-elimination bracket. Four teams were invited through the VRS and four came from the Online Play-In.

It was a very competitive tournament, with ENCE vs Nemiga the only one-sided affair. After a third-place finish at DraculaN, ENCE produced an off-colour performance in their 0-2 quarter-final loss, with the first map ending in 13-0 fashion.
fnatic entered the tournament as favorites but were made to work extremely hard to reach the final, beating Reason in overtime after surviving seven series points before moving past Nemiga in two close maps.
Anton "Anlelele" Huynh and Martin "nut nut" Holm Vestergaard were the main architects of ECSTATIC's title run in Poland, posting a 1.28 and 1.16 tournament rating, respectively. The pair produced man-of-the-map performances in the final as the Danish team came back from an overtime loss to win the series after 13-11 victories on Inferno and Train.
