arT: "We have a very good shot of upsetting TYLOO"
Fluxo's captain discussed his team's struggles against domestic opponents.

Since the BLAST.tv Austin Major, Fluxo's appearances at top events have been few and far between, with the Brazilian side spending most of their time competing in domestic events in the Americas since adding Lucas "Lucaozy" Neves and Lucas "decenty" Bacelar.
Fluxo's first notable outing since the Major at ESL Pro League Season 22 ended in Stage 1 after losses to Astralis, FURIA, and G2. Andrei "arT" Piovezan's men now look to improve on that result in Shanghai at the CS Asia Championships 2025.
During media day, Fluxo's captain spoke with HLTV regarding the team's EPL result, their struggles with consistency against domestic opposition, and their plans for their month-long gap before the StarLadder Budapest Major.
Or you can listen to the interview here.
Here with arT at CAC 2025, not long after a rough run at EPL. You went out in Stage 1, but showed some promise with map wins over Astralis and G2. How would you rate that EPL result?
Of course, it's always a disappointment for any team losing. We knew that we had tough opposition, so we had to play our A-game to win against those teams. FURIA, Astralis, and G2 are always harder teams to beat for any team. We knew that it was going to be tough.
Winning a map for us doesn't feel like winning anything; we want to win the series, and we kinda fumbled some rounds that we had a shot to maybe win a second map. Of course, we knew it would be hard. It's just life, it's the game.
Most of your competition throughout the year has been domestic, in South and North America. You haven't found that many wins. What has been keeping you from beating local opposition like BESTIA and MIBR?
We are lacking consistency against every opponent, I would say. Sometimes we win against good teams, and [other times] we lose against weaker opponents. That's always a struggle when you account for VRS points.
If you just be more consistent, and win against those teams, you can break through some tournaments and get more points and be invited. We need to be more consistent, mainly against the weaker opponents, so we can have higher points and play against those [top] teams more frequently.
Since the Austin Major wrapped up, you guys added Lucaozy and decenty. Now that you've got three months with them, what has it been like playing with them, and what have they brought to the team?
When you talk about decenty and Lucaozy, you understand that you have way more firepower on those guys. They used to play as star players, so that's the main thing, we put them on the team to play star positions. When you do that, you change a lot of the chemistry of the team, and you step down kye and arT to play more side roles, so that messes with the whole structure of the map and positions as well.
That's the main thing that we're struggling [with] right now, is creating that chemistry back with the new positions. Me and kye are not used to playing these kinds of roles, and when you put them, they have to start doing things their way, and they have to adapt, and adapt to the playstyle. That's the main thing right now; we're trying to create chemistry.
As far as this event goes, there are not that many top teams here. What are your expectations for the event?
When you talk about EPL, we got very strong teams. Of course, we're going to play weaker teams right now, but as I said, we have to create consistency, because winning maps or winning matches against harder opponents does not mean that you're going to win against weaker opponents.
I think that's just a blank page when you got any tournaments; you have to play your A-game otherwise you're going to lose to any team. We have to play better to win against these teams, the same way we have to play better against G2, Astralis, FURIA.
Do you have any thoughts on the TYLOO matchup for your opening game?
I think it's a good opponent, because they also don't have that consistency on that team. So, I think we have a very good shot of upsetting them, so I think that's a very good opportunity for us to start with the right foot in the tournament.
This is your last event before the Major, if I'm not mistaken. You'll have a month-long period until the start of the Major; how do you plan to spend it? Is a bootcamp in mind?
We definitely want to have some bootcamp for that, just because after decenty and Lucaozy joined the team, we've had so little time to practice, actually just sitting in a chair and playing against other teams and talking about it. We've just been playing tournament to tournament, just hopping.
We're going to play this tournament, go back to Brazil, and after that we're going to go to Europe, and have some good time to practice and be ready for the Major.
