Virtus.pro to play CAC with ICY
The Kazakh AWPer has been called back to action for the Chinese event.

Virtus.pro will be playing the CS Asia Championships with Kaisar "ICY" Faiznurov, HLTV has confirmed with Perfect World.
This decision was likely made in order to allow Virtus.pro to comply with VRS regulations relating to invited cores. Virtus.pro initially planned to make use of VP.Prodigy AWPer Vladimir "b1st" Krasikov in lieu of ICY, but this move would have left them with just two players from their July 7 lineup that recieved the invitation to the event.

b1stValve Tournament Operating Requirements, Rule 3.2.5
Directly invited VRS Rosters may only accept an invitation for a Tournament if:
a) At least three of the Participating Roster's Athletes were on the Invited Roster on the Invite Date and will play in each event match.
The situation is akin to what occurred at ESL Pro League Season 22 with FaZe, where the international side were forced to make use of the recently benched Håvard "rain" Nygaard in order to retain their invited core and participate in the event.

In the wake of FaZe's problems at EPL, Valve added the clarification that the core trio "will play in each event match." Valve also instituted a new rule, 3.10.1, which demands that tournament organizers issue a forfeit to teams that do not field at least three players from the invited lineup.
Valve Tournament Operating Requirements, Rule 3.10.1
Tournament Operator will declare a forfeit in any match in which a roster does not field at least three of the Invited Roster Athletes for the entirety of the match.
ICY's campaign with Virtus.pro will begin shortly, as the Russian side are about to take on Legacy in their opening match of the event.
