SK interested in Delpan - Report

According to rakaka.se, SK Gaming are hot on the trail of fnatic star Marcus "Delpan" Larsson.

The Swedish news portal cites "very reliable sources" to report that SK Gaming have been locked in talks with Larsson for some time about a move to the German-based organisation.

SK have not yet made any decision on who their fifth player will be, with Jimmy "allen" Allen called in for Saturday's WCG qualifier at Inferno Online, which ended with SK and fnatic reaching the Grand Final, to be played at DreamHack Summer next month.

Larsson played as a stand-in for SK at the World Esports Masters and in an online match for the IEM5 European Championship, but the team decided not to give him a permanent deal, which later made him move to fnatic.

Delpan with SK at WEM

rakaka.se claims that SK first approached Larsson at the last IOL Finals, but that talks have been taking place online.

If the move comes to fruition, it would represent fnatic's third roster loss to their arch-rivals in the space of months, after Christopher "GeT_RiGhT" Alesund and Patrik "f0rest" Lindberg got in bed with SK at the end of 2010.

Larsson's arrival would leave SK with:

Nop man players choose if they want to join team or not, I just don't get logic of you and other ppl. SK is institution in gaming world, most of players will be honored to play in SK ,so if they are not good for team they will be kicked. because Delpan was the sixth man/stand in for SK for a few months, and rather than pick him up when they needed a full time member, they let him go. SK has absolutely no sense of how to put together a team of chemistry, and they have zero eye for young talent. they had GeT_RiGhT, and they let him go. they had Delpan, and they let him go. they tried stealing f0rest from fnatic for years, stole Gux from fnatic, and seem to base all their efforts on taking the star players from other teams. I love some of the players on SK, but I have zero respect for the way the organization handles their business.

back then get right didnt perform well for them.Actually he performed very poorly,I remember one game in inferno against fnatic that not only he had 0-15 but he also played like a noob. He wast ready for sk then and thats the reason they kicked him and actually it did good for him as he got a lot better since then.If they kept him for longer he yould have choked.

he didn't perform poorly in his time in sk. He was almost always the second top fragger for example. that 0-15 is nothing, it happens, you can't base nothing in that. The problem with get_right in sk was the chemistry(which is a hard thing to build in one month/tournament...) and his age. That's why they recall spawn.

He was accustomed to play with walle an the other guys...he had like 2-3 years playing with them(sk, nip), that's why they call in back. Not because he killed more than gtr(which is wrong)but because of chemistry. Whey they changed gtr with spawn, spawn was playing poorly.People were like "change Spawn", "He now sucks", etc...Just like what happened to walle

no they didnt.. get_right joined sk with tentpole and walle, at the same time, after nip breakup. so no, they didnt play years, with spawn before that.. and also, gt was playing in NIP with tenpole and walle, so he knew their way of play very well at the time, but he had no experience that playing for SK requires..

When Sk said they split parts with gtr cause of "chemistry"they ment poor performance.Gtr back then was a young player with potential. He had good aim BUT tacticalwise he was AT LOW LEVEL comparing to Sk's pro players.He was out of his waters when he was asked to play SK's style.He also (i m not sure how i can explain that)was using his teammates to get frags. I actually dont recal a good match of him back then, well maybe he had a couple,but he defenately wasnt the second best fragger plus the 0-15 excample wasnt my main point I just mentioned it. My point was that gtr got better after SK because he worked hard.As a matter of fact the best gtr and most impresive was his "Ciants" era when he first became the gtr we all know. I also have a fealling that if you ask gtr he will say that he worked hard after he left Sk cause he wanted to prove people that he is good.

listen to this, boy: at the time Delpan played for SK, no one knew what was going to happen! forest and get_right probably already knew they would play in SK and they would have brought GUX with them! plus, they wanted to build a team with robban and allen, if ur good in math u'll figure that 3+2=5.. so, then before SK confirmed that f0rest and gt were contracted to SK, delpan had already been signed by FNATIC! ofc with f0rest and robban's awp they didnt felt like they needed a awp, but now, since allen is kind off the scene, they fell like they need a top player, and thats when delpan FITS! i dont understand how no1 can understand this..

SK for a while didn`t make many in CS scene,they`ve been in the shadow of Na`Vi fnatic FX mTw....i see them like the owners of romanian footbal teams before a big match they say that they will buy X player which is a main player of the team just to unbalance....SK is disuniting teams....when they will be out of swedish player as choice i thing we will see NEO in SK,or zonic so on(Neo and zonic where examples),thats why they won`t do anything in the next future.they need 1 or 2 good players at the same level with face f0rest and GTR and then they will become a team u can really fear,now for me they are a good mix team :)...moddii dennis manne delpan twice played for them...a few names that came to my mind...look at fnatic they made 3 changes but they still play awesome,they are a team :) period...ofc cArn :))) :d the brain :)

What makes Swedish all-star lineup so much better than Ukrainian? SK and NaVi have pretty same kind of players like markeloff=Delpan starix=f0rest Edward=GeT_RiGhT And the fact is Ukrainians have so good chemistry which allows them to beat the best teams without any problems. I just think that some people underestimate the skill of Ukrainians while overestimate the skill of Swedes :)

Gux played more of a backup role, remember he maintained like a .75-6 fpr, while moddii is the main fragger on all of his teams. and Delpan is more of a fragger than dsn.

Ok, here is me telling you something. You will NEVER build the best team by just picking 5 players who are well skilled etc. Chemistry is needed, and you won't build it by just picking players from different teams. For me the swedish dreamteam has to consist of cArn + dsn, just because they play with each other for a long time. Well, for me fnatic's current lineup is really close to being the swedish dreamteam. Maybe I would switch pita. And yes, I would not pick f0rest and gtr to this team.

fnatic's quite good it would take a lot of time for them to become really dominant. SK's line up is definitly good and works well unlike what you seem to think, but they lack all that Delpan could bring them (a real fifth player and a top3 awper)

Gux didnt get any salary because he never signed the contract.. SK didnt steal GTR and f0rest, it was they who wanted a change (removing dsn from fnatic) but carn disagreed and they went to SK. I dont think the SK organisation is that bad as many people think, but they may have som problems with sending money to their players..

I know they didnt, GTR and f0rest wanted a team of "mercenaries" cause they wanted to kick both dsn and cArn (which in my opinion was a very bad move by f0rest, who had been with cArn and dsn for years), but SK just took advantage of that.. Its just.. the way they treat people and some of their decisions.. thats why fnatic will always be better than SK, might not be sometimes in terms of skill, but in terms of being nice for other players and organizations fnatic will always be better and always have a better image than SK.

well, real madrid can with vs barcelona, they already did, and besides that it's actually the same thing, both real madrid and SK aren't ''complete'' in order to fight with the best. SK can't be #1 without a full 5th member like they've been since they signed get_right and f0rest, it's easy as that, allen is decent, dennis was decent, but none of them is good enough to give SK what they need in order to succeed. Try to imagine Navi without markeloff, or fnatic without dsn, or fx without kuben/taz, or mtw without trace/zonic, it wouldn't work as good as it does right now, and in the SK's case, delpan is exactly what they need, they need a consistent awp, f0rest is too good with rifles to be SK's main awp, robban is the igl which is an awful position for you to be if you're an awper. Most people on this website keep saying "LOOLOLOLLOLO -ROBBAN PLS PLS PLS" when what SK REALLY NEEDS is a world class awper, so f0rest can get back to his ''free'' gamestyle with rifles together with get_right and face, and robban can focus 100% on what's going on in the game without having to care with "not missing that shot" with the awp. Remember that Robban IS A GOOD IGL, but first he needs a stable team, which he didn't had yet since sk signed both gtr and forest. So yes, SK with forest, get right, face, delpan and robban would be more than good enough in order to fight with navi/fx/mtw for the #1 spot without a doubt.

The is what people need to understand, the role of an ingame leader is not to get 15+ frags a half, the role of an IGL is to make strats to put his teammates in the best possible positions to make frags, and thats why cArn is the best, back in the day when fnatic were dominating, you would rarely see carn on more than 10 frags, because he spends too much time analyizing everything in the round to make the best possibly strat to win it. RobbaN just doesnt have the brain to be able to make quick and effective decisions to be able to help his team win those important rounds, i think snajdan/pronax would be a good pickup for SK because i cant see them winning those big rounds/games with robban as a caller.

no way get_right is a big baiter , all the time hes lurking in the shadows , then runs out for a 2-3k round.. he can think of some crafty ideas how to get his team ready for an attack , he probably spends more time playing cs than any other pro , he's on record sayin hes heavily involved in the tactics , i can see an easy transition of him into the igl..

as we can see that fnatic is not rising up to the level of navi, mtw, sk and fx... that means that something will give after only one event... they came with a bang but have not being playing well after that... delpan went for the organization otherwise sk would have had him... sk suffers as they do not have a strong awp with delpan they can get as good as navi.. but who knows maybe they do not gel together...

They really need a good AWPer and IGL. They could really use pronax if robban stepps out. And for the AWP it's more or less. They could buy Delpan to have a main AWPer but they could also buy something like manne/keiz/moddi, good fraggers and leave f0rest to AWP. For me the best lineup for SK would be forest,g_t,pronax,manne,moddi. forest/manne can play some backup , pronax has quite good strats and sometimes frags more than decent and gt+moddi = win.

The best possible Swedish lineup is this: MODDII (Fragger) GuX (Fragger) Delpan (AWP) GeT_RiGhT (IGL) f0rest (Fragger) I say GTR as IGL because he can probably do it very well because he plays more CS then anyone and is a great fragger so him taking up that role wouldn't really affect his play. GuX is the best entry fragger in Sweden and can clutch when necessary because of his great aim/movement and has sick pistols too MODDII has a really sick aim and can clutch rounds with it and is definetly in need of a top team and top teams need him! f0rest is f0rest and has been top5 World the last 5 years fosho. Delpan is an incredible awper - maybe not the best in the world, but its really hard to classify one as the best, he would fit in this lineup very well with his aggressive style.

I would like to see Delpan joining SK and see the team much stronger. is there any serious contender for the primary awp in sk other than delpan? because i've seen f0rest and even GeT_RiGht take the big green recently, and don't get me wrong, they were good. but we all know that they are a lot better with rifles. imo sk needs a top awp player, which is definetely not robban. plus i doubt that delpan will leave fnatic. what about kHRYSTAL? their little stunt with him wasn't that unsuccessfull, they even won a event (IEM chengdu if i remember correctly). Or maybe fyrr73? there are so many talents in sweden waiting for a chance to play in sk, but all they do is trying to steal players from fnatic. >_>

Real madrid won something so maybe you should compare them to man city but even they won the FA cup and SK haven't won a thing yet... They always play bad at the most important match or mess up a match they should've won and every other top team would close down no problem :) They should get barbarr hez at least as skilled as delpan and they wouldnt have to steal him from fnatic
